Where does John Mantle stand on this efficiency rating?  A projected MVP of the league has to be up there somewhere!

John ranks 29 right now, with a 23.62 rating.

I don't know where he stand on the efficiency rating, but at the free throw line he stands about six inches behind it.  Might explain his shooting woes.

Unlikely, he's always stood there so that doesn't account for the 12-14% drop in FT% we've seen this year.

Well after reading the posts about Hope I suddenly am brimming with confidence in Calvin. :)

Good - our evil plan is working   :P

Great, how am I supposed to ever tell what is part of the evil plan and what is part of the master plan?

It's really easy:

Hope builds - as in Hope builds a false sense of confidence in Calvin fans - that's the evil plan

Calvin builds - as in building a new <insert newest Hope facility here>  because Hope has a new one - that's the master plan     ;D

A few things:

You make it sound like every time Hope gets a new facility, Calvin builds one in response so as to 'level the playing field' or something.  When in actuality I'm not sure Hope has built anything new besides the DeVos and the new soccer field. Do you see a new soccer field at Calvin?

If you've spent any time on Calvin's campus, renovations and additions have been going on the past few years including the new athletic facility, current remodeling of the Fine Arts Center, and planned renovation and construction on the Commons dining hall.

Perhaps, the fact that Calvin built a new athletic facility (as well as other facilities) has more to do with need and less to do with what Hope is doing?

You missed the obvious button push there F3R3. Everyone at this point knows and understands Calvin's "master plan". (To dominate and rule the reformed world... MOOOWHOOOWAAAAHAAAHAAA!!!)

Northwood 68 Kzoo 45.....I believe Ryan Clark has been Kzoo's leading scorer all year, he had 1 point tonight.

Kzoo is off until Dec 29 when they'll play Wooster at the Wooster tournament.  They'll either get Transylvania or Washington U on day two.

Jan 2 they play Bluffton who at this point is also winless on the season.

I don't know if this qualifies as the greatest dunk in DIII history but it's definitely a solid entry out of UWSP v. Elmhurst.

Was that posted here because the UWSP player who made the dunk is named Tillema?

Good place to just say  "Heh heh.  Yeah...  Okay."   ::)
When it comes to the Rivalry stuff, you'll learn to have a pretty thick skin here.
Stick around, keep posting, but we've all been through this "Master Plan" hoo haa enough already.  That's why it's only ever referred to this way anymore.

Then again...  If it opens the door for Pinky and the Brain references, maybe it's not all bad after all.   :D
If there is one thing I've learned from this board it's this: There's more than one way to split a hair.

I suppose I can develop a thick skin knowing the simple fact that Calvin's master plan, after all, is much more 'master-ful' than Hope's ever is or could 'Hope' to be.

Welcome Airballer:  Good question on Mantel.  You hit upon a key problem with many results of statistic mining.  Namely a player's contribution may be greater than the sum of any statiscs you use.  Especially when your entry criteria is the person must average only 5 minutes p.t. per game.
IMO Mantel would play/start on, and make every team in the MIAA better were he to do so.  The same can be said for a handful of other players in the conference this year.  Many of the starters on teams in the MIAA would probably see playing time for most other teams in the conference, but they don't rate as impact or dominant players. :)

That doesn't hurt...although dunking in wooden shoes would have made a bigger splash!
