Not sure what "crap" I posted in my earlier post.  I posted no such things, just observations, most, if not all have been pretty accurate so far this year.

I am discouraged by this team so far this year and even more discouraged by what appears to be a very average team at best with limited upside improvement.

I think this team will struggle to play much beyond .500 basketball the rest of the way out.

(Save the negative karma and it is too early to be this down on this team.  I have been watching Hope for 27 years, and this team lacks alot).

Mercifully the MIAA non-conference season comes to a close at 38-50 or .432  :'(

A team flying under the radar in the Great Lakes Region is Defiance.  They are 11-2 with three tournament championships.  Does anyone know anything about them?  I'm not so sure with that record they shouldn't be recognized nationally.

The Vegas betting-line just came in for the Calvin/Hope game in two days.

Hope is a -2.5 favorate over Calvin.

The over/under is 130.

I have been quite MIA this season and knew the league was struggling but after looking over the non-conference records in anticipation of the "real" season starting on Wednesday I was shocked at how bad things were across the league.  :(

This year's 38-50 is actually the same as 2009's 35-46  or .432

2009  35-46  .432
2010  38-50  .432

5 Jared Mysliwiec HOP 32.43 12.6 0.555

With his high efficiency, one wonders if Mysliwiec would eventually see more PT than his 13.9 min/game average.

I'm quite sure he will - when you consider that he missed one game completely and played limited minutes in several others, due to injury or illness.

I was not aware of the illness factor.  Was that the reason for limited time in the last 2 games?  If so, I can see why his average is less that his efficiency might suggest he should be seeing.

That was indeed a factor for the last 2 games.  In fact - if you look at this article, you'll see it mentions he was even in the hospital prior to the last 2 games
