I completely agree, but just for the sake of argument define close.  I want to know if I need to get some barbecue hat sauce ready, just in case.   ;D

I'm partial to Frank's Red Hat; great with wings, chili, coney dogs, etc.

Never tried any of those with hat sauce on them - hot sauce yes, but not hat sauce.  In fact, I never have had a need for hat sauce before, but the idea of it is intriguing to me - especially if applied while the hat is being worn.    :D

Just tell yourself that those white specks are salt and that hair is a good source of fiber

Hope at Trine....Hope has never lost to Trine in conference play.  Last year a slim 3 point win at Hersery Hall

There was also the game at HH during the 03-04 season.  A tip in by Kyle Kleersnyder at the buzzer sent it to overtime.  Hope won in OT 116-110.  How I miss those old Thunder teams with their run and chuck-it style of play.

I also miss Trine's run and chuck game. It was always entertaining.
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

Man following Trine's live stats is pretty pointless, only about 4 game minutes and 15 points behind the broadcast.

.......and then a sudden update :-\

sac

A real battle at Adrian, 22-21 Bulldogs at the break.

KnightSlappy

And sac salts and peppers his hat....

Calvin 29 Alma 28 at the half.

Halftime in Angola

Hope 49 Trine 31........all Hope really, Trine scored the last 7 points of the half.

Great shooting from the Dutchmen probably tells the story, total team effort, 21 points off the bench.   Nelis and Mysliwiec in street clothes, I believe Snugeruud started in Chris' place.

Now its all Trine...........53-43.........19-4 run

This is a war..........all tied at 35

It just doesn't seem like any sort of order will begin to emerge in the standings tonight. Potential losses by Olivet and Albion will really muddy the picture.

KnightSlappy

Doesn't look like any headwear will be ingested tonight as Calvin wins by double digits 73-59.

Veltema leads the charge with 24 points on 6-7 on three point shooting. That leaves just 93 points left for Matt to reach 1,000.

Its a final in Angola...

Hope 78 Trine 60

Hope weathered a solid 2nd half rally by Trine, the Thunder got it down to 8 or 9 a couple times.  Trine didn't score much in the final 6 minutes.

Hope: Bowser 17 , Bunn 16, Tanis 12, Snugeruud 10

Trine:  Rogers 19, Jackson 11,  Harris 10

disclaimer, individual points may or may not be correct as Trine's livestats aren't live at all.

The hat has meekly crawled out from under the bed, giving me the evil eye for such a bold prediction.
