I would like to see the "WWKVSD" t-shirts to come out of retirement today.  :D

Those have somehow made their way to the bottom of the t-shirt drawer.   ;)

You'll see something much better, and with a decidedly positive message  ;) make it's debut today.   ;D

2006 Crawford--1st in scoring, 1st rebounding
2005 DePree--13th in scoring, 1st rebounding

2001 Veenstra--1st in scoring, 3rd rebounding
2000 Winkle--2nd in scoring, 6th rebouding

8 out of 10 times the mvp comes from the MIAA title winning/sharing  team. :)

Please forgive some of us, for being a little cynical when being
on the MIAA title team was not the criteria in 2006 or 2009. :)

Please forgive some of us for being cynical in 2010 when others now argue that being a "stats" leader is important in determining mvp. :)

Why wasn't being a "stats" leader important when:
Phillips in 2004
Cramer in 2007
Vanderheide in 2008
were mvp? ???

In 10 years only 1 player has led the league in scoring and rebounding and he was rightfully named the leagues MVP and his team finishded 3rd in the league standings.

False.

Oh Realist, don't ask such silly questions:

Calvin way too passive on offense and rebounding

Knight In The Stan

too bad it took the refs 3 tries to get a charge call right

Calvin started out the game missing quite a few very makable shots in the paint while Hope has done quite well on the offensive boards and got a few easy put backs because of it.  Everything has been fairly even thus far except for the announcing on WGVU, these guys are definitely watching and announcing the game with a bit of Hope homerism  ::).  Looking forward to a great and tight finish.

Yea holy smokes, I was gonna say that at the 10 minute mark but I didnt want all the Hopers on here to say that I was just mad because Calvin was down a couple buckets. Every call against Calvin is a good one, and everyone against Hope is a mistake.  >:(

Calvin is giving Hope every opportunity to win this game. What poor free throw preformance thus far...

Calvin rebounding better in the 2nd half.
Snuggerud playing well for Hope.  Especially on D

Well I suspect that Calvin is going to look back and see a 3 pt. loss and see that they shot 14-25 from the free throw line and also missed the front end of several 1 and 1 free throw shots thus negating even a chance at the 2nd free throw and will be kicking themselves on the missed opportunity.  A game they probably should've won.  Tightened up the conference race but still Calvin is in the drivers seat.

Just saw that Adrian is now a surprise 3rd place in front of Albion and Olivet.  Albion seems to be slumping and hitting a rough stretch of play right now.  I'm sure both Albion and Olivet will play a role in the league race even if it is as a potential spoiler.

Dark Knight

The good notes is that despite poor field goal shooting, poor free throw shooting, and an 8/16 performance behind the arc for Hope, the knights still lost by only 3. If they were playing again tomorrow at the same place, I'd bet on Calvin.

Snikkers played like a freshman in the first frame, but he ended up as Calvin's leading scorer.
