Bracket done.  Calvin's season is officially over.

D3hoops projection had Calvin in and Wheaton out, Opposite of what the NCAA decided.

Wheaton beat Calvin.  If it came down to those 2 teams you have to go with the winner.

St Norberts finished 22-3

St. Norberts is ranked somewhere around #17 if memory serves me correctly. Should be a tough game for Hope.
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

No wins that jump out to me as particularly impressive.

Stevens Point - 430 miles.
Kenosha - 230 miles.

Would have preferred Carthage.

Kudos to St. Norbert's SID already updating the schedule to include Hope. I did not see any common opponents and agree with KIQ that none of the opponents seems particularly impressive.

Actually, we had Wheaton in too.

Pretty sure this is the furthest Hope's had to travel for a first round game......maybe Allegheny is about the same, that was way back in 1989

Happy Calvin Guy

Is this now 2 straight seasons that Calvin would have likely made the NCAA tourney if it was a 64 team field?  This strange 61-team field has got to go!  I don't know of any other classification doing it this way.....

A better solution would be to take care of business so we are actually in the top 61 teams, but it's frustrating to have it go down this way.

Hope ends up in the toughest quarter of the bracket, IMO. Point, Wash U, Carthage, and St. Thomas. The lower left bracket may have something to say about which is the toughest, however.

It strikes me as a very odd system when Calvin wins the MIAA, finishes with a solid 19-9 record, and still doesn't make the tournament. Teams in DI and DII who are league champions with a 19-9 record would make those tournaments.

There are fewer automatic bids in D-I, though, and more at-large bids. Also there are fewer teams in Division I overall.

All the best to Hope in the dance.
Deeply disappointed that the Knights are sitting it out again, but we had a nasty habit of not showing up for the first few minutes of too many games and having to scramble to get out of the cavernous crater we dug for ourselves.
