Next time someone complains about a coach being on the court, the opposing team should just try this:

As much as I hated to go see Witt's success, lol, I did in order just to show you that we're right there with you.  And mostly, my point was I think you'd be even more successful if you went and played better D3 teams.  Our schedules, even when we travel, pit us against some great teams.

Now, as for success......

2000- WOO second round loss
2001- WOO 1st rd loss to Witt; Witt sweet 16
2002- Woo 3rd place NCAA finish; Witt Sweet 16
2003- Woo 2nd Rd
2004- Woo 2nd rd loss; same for Witt
2005- Both 2nd rd losses
2006- Woo 4th Place NCAA; Witt National Runner Up
2007- Woo 1st rd loss
2008- Woo2nd rd loss
2009- Woo 2nd rd loss

That stacks up pretty good i'd say eh.

I can't seem to find a couple National Championships in that very impressive list.

What WooHoopsntrack01 has written is so factually incorrect, it makes me think this has to be some sort of prank. At least I hope for his sanity's sake. And this is coming from a Wooster fan.

Well, that's changing your argument. Earlier you suggested you were way beyond us, now you're trying to demonstrate you're there with us.

Thanks seinfeld!!

What really puzzles me about it is that he just showed up here and started trash talking - not that I'm against trash talking - but why, and why the MIAA?   It's not like we don't have enough real things to talk about.  Time for that little troll to go back under his bridge

Apparently, there's some huge MIAA/NCAC beef that's been raging, but only WooHoopsntrack01 is privy to it.

What was factually incorret?  I just used both teams web pages; there maybe one or two things off but for the most part its sound and right.  As for my original claim, it was that both teams should play tougher schedules whether it be traveling or hosting, that was pretty much it.

Every year you play soft schedules and that's why you struggle so much in the NCAA Tourney.

I don't know. He showed after the first game of the year (a loss to Albion) and declared the reigning d3Hoops.com Freshman of the Year (Justin Hallowell) couldn't shoot and wasn't good defensively. He actually got lucky about Hallowell, who has struggled with his shot this year, but he has been one of Wooster's better defenders. Since he said he was at the Albion game, he must live in Michigan and is trying to cause trouble. The fact of the matter is Wooster has lost the last three times they have played MIAA teams in NCAA play, although all were on the road. I see NCAC basketball year after year, and there is nothing to brag about here.

Here is how Wooster has really done in the 2000s:

2000 - L in Sweet 16 to Calvin
2001 - L in 2nd Rd to Carthage
2002 - Missed tourney
2003 - Final 4
2004 - Elite 8
2005 - L in 2nd Rd to Albion
2006 - L in 2nd Rd to Transy
2007 - Final 4
2008 - L in 1st Rd to Wash
2009 - L in 2nd Rd to Capital

You said that by playing tougher schedules the MIAA could do better in the tournament and then be in your leagues class when it was pointed out based on tournament results history you are actually trying to catch the MIAA's results.  So maybe you should be quiet and just be happy we play a "weak" schedule and it gives you a chance for some tourney success once in a while.  Because by your premise, it'd be quite scary how spectacular and great Calvin and Hope would be in the NCAA tourney if they played your schedules instead.

Wooster's Web site has no archives. It doesn't even have last seasons results.

Correction - There is something that pretends to be archives, but they are barely readable and are not listed by the right year.
