I did contact the management, and management did something about it. Hall of Famers no longer have the ability to delete posts.

As long as we get to keep the gold blazers with their special magical powers, and our 20% discount at all participating Denny's restaurants, I'm fine with surrendering my post-deleting capability.

Well, it is that time of year again for us Calvin fans to dig deep and ask the big question, "do we or do we not support Hope in the NCAA tournament?"  While the obvious and rational answer is "no", allow me share my top ten reasons to show our support for the Flying Dutchmen in their pursuit of a national championship.

10. It will give Babbitt something real to babble about.
9.   It will justify the 1:1 coach to player ratio.
8.   Keep Holland is a happy place.  Don't ruin their day.
7.   Allow the male chearleaders a little national "exposure".
6.   Allow the player's infamous financial donors to finally get a return on their investment.
5.   Let their young players earn some national attention so Elders will know who to recruit.
4.   Be merciful and finally give GVW a reason to retire.  The man has waited long enough.
3.   Show the LOVE and prevent their old seminarians from wishing to punch you in the nose.
2.   Keep sac happy so he doesn't try to delete your post.
1.   Encourage Hope to earn a real banner so they can remove their attendance and participation banners.

We are fine with you not supporting Hope.  Go ahead and support Calvin.  Oops, forgot, they didnt make the tourney :o :o :o :o

Like the old saying, "It's not what you know, but who you know!", Well, in Calvin's case, "It not how you lose, but when you lose!

Is that some new term for describing flatulence    :D

Just missing a strategically placed "s," FDF.  I thought about inserting it, but opted not to be quite that obvious.  Plus I figured all the old farts on this board would sniff it out.
Aren't you glad that section7 is no longer posting "crap" about Hope?

Don't believe I ever posted any "crap" about Hope.  I posted my opinions or observations, others, may feel it is crap.  Like certain fans who whine about the officials every time his/her school loses!

With all the talk about Calvin missing the tourney, it's really simple.  Calvin lost to Hope three times this year, twice on home floor.  Hope fans -quit complaining about GVW, look at his record vs. KVS.  Calvin fans, aren't we tired of losing to Hope?

Calvin was pretty even with Hope in talent this season.  Calvin won the regular season outright but only by one game over Hope.  Sometimes I am one to criticize the game plan against Hope but I really couldn't find too many criticisms with KVS last Saturday.  Calvin didn't let Hope drain too many easy 3-pointers like they have with them in the past (like especially the 2007 and 2008 season match-ups).  Hope made some tough shots.  And like I said before twice on here,  Hope was more clutch than Calvin the last 2 head to head match-ups.  The Knight's offense going cold in the Calvin vs Hope III match-up I think that was largely due to Hope's great defense at the end of the game.  The Calvin vs Hope IV match-up I think was just a matter of Calvin shooting poorly.  It was Peter Bunn who helped turn the momentum in match-up III and it was Ty Tanis IV who helped turn the momentum in match-up IV.

I don't really think there was too much complaining of GVW this season from Hope fans.  There was some discussion with subbing patterns, but that happens with any fans at any level.

With that being all said...yes, there are probably some eyebrows being raised with KVS's record verses Hope and his 3 straight seasons with no tourney appearance.
