Actually, in Wisconsin, we play both games at the same time on floors that cross in the middle.

Sounds like a setup that should be comfortable for Hope.  After all, Dutch speed skaters cross in the middle....if they can remember the correct lanes! :P ;) :D

Basket-cross-ball sounds awesome. I think it could be a new sport. I'd watch.

We'll have to figure out the rules... is there 1 ball or two?  How many teams are playing? (2? 4?)  Are you limited to the basket that you can shoot on/defend (i.e. is it two basketball games going cross-ways or is it more like you're defending your basket and can shoot on the other three...?

So many schools are now offering a video feed to their home basketball games.  Of course, Albion and Calvin are already doing this in the MIAA.  Tonight the Hope men and the Calvin women will be featured on video feeds from Stevens Point and DePere.  The Hope women are at home and will not be featured.  Has any one checked the infamous "master plan" to see if Hope will fall in line with this enhancement next year?

It would sure be great if they did! Hopefully one of these days. ???

It boggles the mind... They have TV production classes, and the infrastructure... I have no idea???

I sent a note last year to a fraternity brother who is the director of Hope's computing and information technology, but never heard back from him. With such a nice facility, you'd think that they would want to show it off a little more. It would seem to be another way to attract student athletes, especially those who are too far away to make frequent visits.

And  (ATTENTION HOPE COLLEGE ADVANCEMENT OFFICE), if the callers who bug me three or four times a year for money told me my donation would go to this effort, I probably would send some along.  ;)

I have no sources, but I'd be pretty surprised if Hope doesn't have a live video feed by next season.  I'm not one to buy into the whole "If Calvin/Hope do something, then the other has to match it," but I think it may apply in this situation, especially with Albion having it as well.

And the production at Albion is simple at best.

What a great opportunity to advance the TV production classes at Hope, or Calvin. I don't think there is a major at Hope, but having the kind of experience, producing several events per week, with multiple cameras, would bring, certainly could lend well to finding a job after college.

If you really want it I suggest you contact the head of Hope Alumni, and the other fund raisers.  The folks in those areas at Calvin were responsive to request to get the web activated.   Be careful what you ask for, as I have read on some boards of schools charging $5 to watch a game. ;)

Hope doesn't have the internet backbone to host their own radio broadcast and I can only imagine it would be pretty darn pricey to have Yahoo! host the video stream!  Here's to hoping that the, "keeping up with the Calvinists" theory holds true! /insert smiley with a heady beer mug!

I gotta say, if this would be the quality of the video we would get, I'm not disappointed Hope doesn't do it.
