Good to know you were so worried about it, you looked it up.  You've been played. ;) ;)

While empty seat count is obviously a frivolous topic, I do appreciate Knightslappy's willingness to spend the time to actually find out the facts before throwing around baseless slams on the rival school.  His inclination to go the extra mile in researching all kinds of things (gym capacity of D3 schools, wow) for the benefit of this board is very much appreciated by this poster.

While I appreciate KS's effort, I personally wouldn't expect that in the future he should feel obligated to spend his time addressing silly claims from others who choose not to do their homework.  If he chooses to anyway, I certainly wouldn't accuse him of being "played".

Oh, and in the interest of giving credit where credit is due (and maybe tempering the chippiness on this board), Congratulations to Hope and its fans once again on the attendance title, you have spirit that we all admire.

How difficult COULD it possibly be for Tim Schoonveld, to POSSIBLY tell a man he has known for most of his life, youth and adult as a mentor, coach, role model and friend, that he isn't the guy taking over the Hope program?  I believe Neil had an interview within the past 48 hours, while the other 2 men met last week with the committee and players.

With the recent conversation topic matter and snippy back and forth I found myself wishing for any news of recruiting, Hope's bball coaching decision or even news of the latest condiment selections  :D :D.

Oh well, I guess for better entertainment I'll head back over to Alma College's webpage and watch some more paint dry  ;D.

Hope's new coach will be announced very soon.  Someone from Holland, Philly or Iowa taking over the reigns.  I could tell you who many of the players want at the helm, based on parental feedback of late, but that would be speculation.  How about the call made several weeks back about the Florida trip?  Actually heard that info from a buddy who went to Tri-State/ Trine.  Trine, Lake Forest, and Dominican University. If you go to Orlando, make a trip to watch the Magic if possible, I go to 2 or 3 a season.  You will never see 2 coaches sweat more than VanGundy and Ewing during the course of a game.  If stan is back I mean...

So I guess smiley faces and winky winkys are no longer affective.  :'(

...new material badly needed.

Take heart oh wizard of standup, Calvin had a 2,135 avg,]that might be a top 10 finish in the empty seats category. ;)

Did you not read the entire article, Sac?   I do find it funny, though, you said that at the same time I was writing that I was glad Calvin finished second in the nation.

Um, yes obviously I did read the whole article.  Guess my crack wasn't clear.

4500-2135 = 2365 empty seats on average.

And if the "empty seat" material isn't old enough material either?

I thought we've been over why Calvin built the arena with 4500 seats.

Due to sheer lunchtime boredom...Calvin built that arena so large so they could charge HOPE fans more apparently...NON-HOPE games only averaged 1903.07 fans per game with a low of 732!!!!!!

A Hope game AT Calvin against someone else had nearly that many in attendance!

Did Sac recently get into the plumbing profession?

Yes, his drain (maybe brain) has been plugged with sewage for about 2-3 months now.  Go back to previous posts starting with argument with Pat.  He has been somewhat vial since then.

On a more serious note, there's a pipe under the sink thats currently disconnected because I couldn't get the rubber gasket seal thingy to properly fit.  I did place a large bucket under it to catch the water after learning the hard way doing nothing has unintended consequences.

Plumbing is not in my future.

Wow, there's a serious dose of unnecessary roughness around here.  Looks like Sac, even while being maligned, is the only one with his sense of humor still intact.  Sheesh. :o
