If Hope hires this guy Calvin fans will be referring to him as the man from glaad.  ;D

SAC- I'm not sure if my speculation is stirring THE pot, or yours.  Just because I am providing some info and some speculation to what most everyone on this board is either questioning, wondering, or speculating, doesn't make it a bad thing.  Just because make humor isn't nearly as funny as Wiz's, doesn't make me a bad guy.

I know a lot of people around and in the situation, maybe not as many as you, nor as important, but you have to give at least a little credit to the accuracy of a lot of the facts/ eventual facts discussed on this board.

FYI- I have had a dozen personal messages this week asking for "more"  info about the coaching situation or thanking me for my honest approach.  I may be speculating on this, but i get the impression many posters aren't nearly as irritated as you.  If they are, they don't feel the need to "put me in my place".  I'm sure you can go back through all my posts and count the times i tried to stir some sort of conversation during a lull, I guess I'd rather do that than respond to a picture of a guy dressed in an orange outfit, or a picture of mustard and ketchup bottles.  Must be an inside joke.  I'll stick strictly to the facts from now on, no more speculating.

Trust me, the irritation is widespread.

If you want to keep from getting irritated read the Holland Sentinel they're not covering the Hope coaching story.

Real information has come from this board.  Hoopdreams has supplied some of it.
I appreciate his contribution.

Its the lack of discretion you've shown when sharing what are probably private conversations with players and posters you've had, and you sharing those thoughts  publicly when those that share those thoughts with you wish they remain private.

Back to the Hope schedule...

As noted a few pages back Hope will be in Orlando next December at the RDV Classic.  This time around Hope, Lake Forest, Dominican and Trine will be there.

I think its a good assumption that Hope will play Dominican in the 2nd game, this is important because it would give Hope a 3rd in-region game outside of the MIAA season. (with the potential for 5 if Calvin and Hope meet in the Select Bank Tournament, hopefully not)  That gives Hope 17 scheduled in-region games.

Here's Dominican's season last year with losses to common Hope opponents Trine and St. Norbert.

Whomever or whoever (depending on how picky you are today)........the next Hope coach is will find the early part of next season's schedule very challenging.

Davenport on the road will be pretty tough, the Panthers will be better next year and have brought in what looks like an excellent class for NAIA.  Davenport should be co-favorites with Cornerstone for the WHAC title.

Game 2 will have Hope playing Cornerstone, the Eagles should also be better and have also put together a nice recruiting class.

Both Davenport and Cornerstone should make strong pushes to make the NAIA tournament.

Game 3 will be either Calvin or Aquinas, .......Calvin needs no explination, Aquinas might not be as good next year, young for sure, but the tournament is at Aquinas and Hope has won 1 game there in the last decade.

Game 4 and 5 will be Wheaton and Carthage.   Carthage will probably be a top 10 team next November in the pre-season poll and most likely the CCIW favorite.........if that wasn't enough, Carthage also probably has D3's best player in Djurikovic.  Wheaton should also earn good pre-season praise with a top 25 ranking.

Pretty tough start to the season and a career, Hope will need to jump out of the gate running.

Mr. Ypsi

An off-season 'beef' about baseball.

Inter-league play is SO distorting of pennant races.  The Tigers finally catch the Twins; two games later, they are 2 out, having played the red-hot Dodgers while the Twinkies got the pathetic Brewers.

If we finish one game back, remember this weekend! >:(

They weren't going the NCAA route anyway, but UM-Flint is abandoning the varsity athletics idea for now.
