Albion's schedule

http://www.albion.edu/sports/mens-sports/basketball/schedule/cat/cat_id/6/1119

Albion's tournament has no opponents listed

The Purple and Gold Classic is at Defiance,  first round vs MacMurray, OSU-Lima vs Defiance in the other game.

That'll make four years in a row that an MIAA school has participated in the Purple and Gold Tournament.

Tri-State was runner up in 07-08, Calvin won it in 08-09, and Adrian took third place last year.

Defiance is opening the 2011 season with Kalamazoo and play Adrian a few weeks later.

I know it makes sense to assume we wouldn't have that schedule since only about two MIAA schools bother to submit schedules and results
but we have had the Kalamazoo schedule on D3hoops.com for some time now.

Dec 4  vs Western Michigan, in Lansing.

Curious as to why and where in Lansing, or if this is just a mistake?   To my knowledge WMU has never played a game in Lansing unless it was vs Michigan State in E.L.

that's a good question. The schedule should be right though, that Sports Information Department is really good.

First round of Albion tournament is Finlandia vs. Lake Superior State and Kenyon vs. Albion. I count only 10 non-conference games on the Britons' schedule, so maybe they'll add another one later.

Albion posted a "want ad" for a non-conference game today on d3hoops.com's open dates section.

WMU released their schedule, and they list the game as in Kalamazoo. I'm going with Western's site on this one.

realist

Playing the game in Kalamzoo makes more sense than playing it in Lansing, but seriously does this game really make much sense?  ???
