just returned from Holland and WOTS is that 2 more hope players are going to miss a significant amount of time, health related. I'll let this unfold as is......
2013 MIAA Pick em' Champion

SOS  to any Calvin poster.  How do you get "game central " to show stats etc? Even going through Davenport haven't made the connection.

Interesting poll question.  Looking at the various team schedules, and Massey etc. I am curious what makes anyone think the MIAA will do better in non-conference action than they have the past 2 years?   ???

.432 35 and 38 wins.

Even if Hope wins all their non-conference games, and Olivet comes close I still doubt we make .500 ;)

There is a live stats link here: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/davenport.portal#
It has been working fine for me.

Thanks Ziggy.  When I try that link it just gets me to a black screen with the words game central.  Must be blocked.  Same thing happens when I go to the women's broadcast, but I can get the live stats.  I think the problem is with stretch or my computer.

You're not missing much, the folks running the live stats put a Calvin bucket on Davenport's total. I'm starting to lose faith that it will get corrected.

I just downloaded Quicktime 7 which they said I need, but that hasn't opened any doors yet.
It is appreciated if you post the score from time to time. :)

Turnovers are the differentiating stat: 21 for Calvin, 10 for Davenport
That lead to 13 more field goal attempts for Davenport than Calvin.

Calvin held 38-36 rebounding advantage and shot a solid 14-17 from the free throw line.

Snikkers leads the Knights in scoring with 20, 18 for Rodts, 10 for Haverdink. No other players in double-figures.

Bryan Powell can't have games where his point total equals his turnover total.

Thanks for the updates.  Not sure which is worse fooling with the computer to try to get the link or listening to the game.

"We are a really bad defensive team."

"We are incredibly careless with the basketball."

VandeStreek's comments: "We're just an incredibly bad defensive team" -- "very careless with the ball" -- "we're very young, and putting those things together is not good" -- "multiple defensive errors on every possession" -- "we're going to take our lumps early on" -- "10 games and 25 practices from now we'll be a good team, but you can't rush the process."

Aquinas 70
Olivet 63

Olivet outrebounded by 11.  McClary only 5 rebounds

Albion 66 Ohio Wesleyan 57

Albion scoring:  Jake Siebert 12, Alex Harville 12, Kyle McDonald 11, JC Cruse 10

Albion shot 6-23 behind the arc, OWU was 1-12, thats a combined 20%.  I believe Albion led the whole way, with the lead ranging between 2 and 13 points.

Franklin 89 Trine 86 OT.....Trine missed a bunny with 5 secs left in OT that would have put them ahead.  Franklin wrapped it up with a couple FT's.
