One could also argue that a respectable team would not have lost more than one game thus far.     :P

FDF, that's pre-season tongue-thrusting, but mid-season verbal jousting!   ;) Should be quite a season once again.

Just ran my regional ranking spreadheet for the first time this year (most of the data is there), and sadly neither Calvin nor Hope would be projected to make the tournament if the season ended today.  :P

FWIW, DeRoo played in Dominican's JV game last night at North Park.

Could repeat next season, too.  Almost the whole team will be returning next season.

And there are three more Kamp sisters in the pipeline. The next two just helped win the Ill. state high school championship. Is one of them a senior this year?

Yes on the sr, and if memory serves one is a jr and the youngest in 8th grade.  I think they also have a cousin in H.S. that played on the team.

DK:  I am going to let that cheap shot on your statistics go unchallenged since I am in a good mood. ;)

There are two Seniors surnamed Kamp, and one Junior.

Hey, he could be back up with the varsity again, perhaps sooner rather than later. I was impressed with DeRoo last night. The kid's got game.

He played 7 minutes in the game vs Blackburn, but didn't appear in either of the other 2 Dominican games.

He's probably one of those kids who suits up for both varsity and JV games, and will play some on the varsity when the rules allow.

Anderson 46 Olivet 36  at the half

The Comets made a nice run to get within 3, only to see Anderson score 7 straight to finish the half.  McClary's being held in check with just 4 points, 6 rebounds.  I'm guessing he had a little foul trouble.  Livestats has him with 2 fouls, but I don't know when he picked those up.  Olivet's getting a nice contribution off the bench from Cameron Duncan.  Nathan Jennings has 8, Andre Evans 6, and Jaren Edsall 6

sac

Anderson 83 Olivet 72

AU pushed the lead to mid teen's with about 10 minutes left and held off the Comets the rest of the way.

McClary 16, Duncan 14, Jennings 13, Evans 12

AU plays highly regarded Augustana later this week, then Wooster later in December.  Maybe a couple scores to keep an eye on.  I don't think this is a bad showing by the Comets at all.
