If there is decent signal (or hopefully wireless) at the RDV, I'll also try to post some Trine-Dominican updates.

Bet I won't be the only Hope fan in shorts today!

Trine up 42-37 at the half.

No doubt in my mind this Trine team has a chance to be a challenger in the MIAA - based on their play in the first half

...but how many people are wearing shorts?

All the players on both teams...

Trine opens the 2nd half on an 11-0 run. At least 9 of those by Ian Jackson.

A quick update request...if there are any Hope fans staying in the area around Disney who could give two folks a ride to/from Wednesday's game, please contact me. We would be appreciative. Thanks. (Note to knightslappy: checked your car rental link--out of my price range.)

Trine wins 82-73.  I think that's the score - scoreboard is missing a lot of lights.

No Jovon Turley for Dominican. Ian Jackson was impressive.

Interesting 1st half in Florida.  Hope is down by 4, 36-40, but has had 18 free throw attempts compared to only 1 for Lake Forest.

Another way to look at it is that Hope is only down 4 despite the hot shooting of the Foresters (57% from the field including 7-12 from 3)

Listening to the Hope/Lake Forest game.  Anyone else find this play-by-play guy kind of hard to follow?

HopeConvert

I followed it on livestats. Good comeback win for the Dutchmen.

28 turnovers for Lake Forest made Hope's 15 look pedestrian in comparison. 28! That's as high a number as I recall seeing. Lake Forest outshot and outrebounded Hope, but the turnovers killed them, with Hope getting 33 points off of turnovers compared to LFC's 13.

The box score shows one of the officials was Darryl Dawkins. Please tell me this wasn't Chocolate Thunder!!

Definitely wasn't him. We did nearly have a hockey game break out in the second half after the officials completely lost control of the game. Double technicals were called and order was restored. Nice to see Hope win a tough game and be 2-0 in region.
