You can call it comical, but it was always a source of humor to the Dew Crew when the Calvin student section would show up dressed in every color under the sun.

Is this a serious comment?
Hey, whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

It just humored us that there were Knight shirts in yellow, maroon, green?, i think there was some pink, and some white.  The section was usually packed out at Calvin, but it always looked less formidable than it could have.

Calvin has lead the whole way and is up by 7 at the half. The first half rebounding leader is Trent Salo? Yep, he has four. MM has 3.

Kzoo feeling good about itself, is crushing Trine 54-35 at the half.

Joe Prepolec had 21 first half points.

Allowing 70% on field goals is a less than defensive showing by Trine, to say the least.

Adrian is ahead 52 - 37 with 8:34 remaining

Thats like being behind by 25 vs that D.

With 6:46 left Albion has only 3 fg's in 2nd half

Hope 89 Alma 58

Looks like a pretty good all around effort for the Dutchmen tonight.  Hope led by 12 with 13 minutes to go, then went on a 18-4 run over the next 5 1/2 minutes and that was pretty much the game.  In fact 26-8 to close the game.  Hope only trailed for a brief few seconds in the first half.

Will Bowser 24, Nate Snugeruud 18, Ty Tanis 12, Adam Dickerson 10

This is Hope's 34th consecutive win over Alma going back to 1998.

----------

Couple other notes, Nate King saw his most significant action as a Dutchmen, playing about the last 8 minutes or so and scored 7 points.

Alma Fr. Brett Lackie has been one of the more productive Fr. this year, I'll be interested to hear from those at the game if it was Hope's D or something else that kept Lackie without a FG in the game, and no shots until 5 minutes remained.

Calvin 78 Olivet 74

Olivet hanging with Calvin without Andre Evans is pretty impressive, Knights were in control most of the way.  Olivet rallied to put a scare in them, but Calvin prevailed.

Calvin:  Tom Snikkers 17, Danny Rodts 14, Bryan Powell 11, Brent Schuster 10
Olivet:  Nathan Jennings 22, Michael McClary 22, Jared Edsal 12

Not so fast.... Adrian turnover & a 4 point play by Albion leaves Adrian with a 6 point lead with 50 seconds remaining

Kalamazoo 99   Trine 83

Kzoo:  Joe Prepolec 25, Ryan Clark 24, Eric Fishman 20
Trine:  Randall Harris 18, Jordan Brady 15

I think its been a very long time since an MIAA squad had 3 players score 20, unless someone did it during Trine's "Grinnell experiment".  Kzoo's the first team to slow down Ian Jackson in a long while.

Adrian 69  Albion 63

Adrian: Jovon Mosley 18, Dennis Mason 14, Wesley Reed 14, Mitch Gabriele 11
Albion:  JC Cruse 20, Anthony Wash 12

Furious Albion rally falls short, Adrian held without a FG the last 7 minutes to keep the Britons in the game.

Just got back from the game.  Olivet would not go away, as they near made a marvelous comeback at the end.

Olivet really struggled to make their outside shots.  If they had a consistent outside shooter, Calvin would have been in trouble.

Calvin’s interior defense seemed to struggle quite a bit, as they gave a lot of easy baskets down low.
Calvin, once again, drove to the basket quite well but they still need to work on cutting down on turnovers.

That being all said, it's good to beat the team with the probable league MVP on the team.  Also good to get Saturday’s nasty taste out of their mouths...
