Didn't they play OT last year versus Carthage at the DeVos?

Michael McClary is a great player.

McClary all-time leading scorer now at Olivet after a "quiet" (can you have a quiet 28 point performance) 28 point performance

Granted, I don't have the most experience on this board, but I don't remember a year with so many great individual performances. Add Will Bowser's night tonight to that list.

Joe Prepolec has 40, lets not forget him

That makes at least a fistful of players to go for 30 or more in the conference season alone.

When is the last time that 2 opponents both went over 40??
This is like a late 80's west vs east all-star game.  I would be interested to see from someone at the game if the offenses were that GOOD or the defense was that RichRod-like (non-existent that is)

Will Bowser had the 2nd best night scoring for a Hope player in its long history.

Single Game Scoring Marks
51    Dan Shinabarger    1970 vs. Albion
46    Will Bowser      2011 vs Kalamazoo
45    Andy Phillips    2004 vs. Tri-State
44    Floyd Brady    1968 vs. Lake Forest
43    Jim VanderHill    1961 vs. Taylor
43    Floyd Brady    1968 vs. Calvin

......50 years ago, Jim VanderHill scored 38 vs Kzoo for the Hope record vs the Hornets.  Will shattered that mark tonight.

The Kalamazoo record for points in a game is 44 by John Schelske in 1981, Joe Prepolec had 40.

A couple kids had awesome individual nights tonight.

It was a complete beat down at Van Noord tonight against a typically aggressive Albion team that was stone cold and could not finish ANYTHING.  I think they had 6 points with 7 min or so remaining in the 1st half.  Very good D by Calvin, along with nearly 60% shooting from the 3, put the hay in the barn early.

Kolin Kazen is the quickly becoming MIAA's Bill Lambeer -- every time I see him, he is always trying to stir something up.  He should have been T'd up, and because the game was out of reach, coach May just sat him the rest of the 2nd half.

Looked like Haverdink turned his ankle.  I will leave it to others to determine if this is bad or good news.

Ryan Clark's night will probably be overshadowed by Prepolec and Bowser but he has been a no-doubt first team all-conference performer in the first half of the conference season. 21 more points tonight and he, not Prepolec, that has been biggest reason Kzoo is off to the start they are.

Calvin had a great first half.  They smothered everything Cruse tried to do.  He had bodies (tall ones) around him at all times.  He along with his teammates were very frustrated.  The game opened with Calvin up 12-2.  Albion closed to 12-6 and then Calvin went on about 13-0 run to make it  25-6.

I hope Haverdink is able to play.  I appreciate how he plays.  He plays very good defense and makes few mistakes.  He made a great defensive play to prevent a dunk.  Jordan Brink also made a great defensive play making a head first dive and controlling the ball on an inbounds play.  Both good hustle plays when Calvin was up by at least 30.

It was encouraging to watch tonight. I hope Calvin plays with the same kind of effort on Saturday.
