Here is a nice look inside Augustana's Carver Center, I don't know the official capacity but 2,500 seems right.

The building itself is 40 years old, sometime within the last couple years they refurbished the gymnasium at least.

If you drag the mouse up to go to the ceiling view, you'll see they must have gotten a new-age scoreboard in the refurbishing, similar to DeVos and Van Noord.

Looks like a nice place to watch a game.

There are drugs for that now if they don't. I see the commercials during golf telecasts all the time.

"The field house holds 1,900 fans... The Carver Center seating was reduced to 1,900 from 3,200 in summer of 2008, when it was renovated with new bleachers and chair-back seating on the north side of the gym."

That is in the information section. However, there are also home games with listed attendance of 2400 (Carthage) and 2100 (IWU) so they may not limit themselves to that. As always, we Hope fans should try to make the tickets scarce, but that may be tricky with the women's games available right at home. There are other box scores listing home attendance of 800 or 900 so it appears Augustana may only get big turnouts for the big games; of course I suppose this weekend would fall into that category.

I don't see anything on their website, but it seems like I've watched a game from there before.  Maybe a question for the CCIW board.

Does Augustana have a live video feed from Carver?

They have never had it in the past.

More than tricky, last year not very many went to Stevens Point, only a little further drive with the women hosting at DeVos.

I wouldn't expect Hope to sell their allotment, times have just changed.  Please prove me wrong Hope fans.

The first year of the CCIW conference tournament (2005-06), the CCIW contracted with Penn Atlantic to provide video streaming.  (I was part of the WJBC broadcast team that provided the audio.)  To my knowledge, that is the only time Augustana has had video streaming.

2013 MIAA Pick em' Champion

DewCrewVett

Well I thought it would finally be time to join the infamous MIAA board after a years of just being a so called "guest." I attended Hope a few years ago and was an avid Dew Crew member, hence the name, and have come to love Hope Basketball even more after my eventual graduation.

Sorry to all those who still believe there are too many Hope and Calvin posters on this board, I just felt the need to voice my future opinions on Hope Basketball!

Welcome aboard DCV. There's always room for another Hope poster.

The Hope/Hanover game will be at 5PM CST. As I said, it's exactly 300 miles from Hope's campus, but who knows what traffic will be like around Chicago. At least you don't have to go through the city.

Thanks for the welcome, like I said I have been reading this board for the last couple years, and I just can't seem to get away from Hope Basektball!

Not to show just how one sided my bias might be, but I cant resist:

Wow. The MIAA coaches got this one way, way, way wrong.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure I remember Hope literally running away with the conference title this year. Weren't there something like 4 games to play with Hope already a lock for regular season champion? To give only two players, on the best team in the conference, some sort of recognition is completely bogus.

How does David Krombeen not receive all-first team distinction? How is it even conceivable for Will Bowser to not be the MVP of this league? Everyone knows that the best player on the best team is the MVP, its like an unwritten rule!

FWIW....  the article on the Augustana site regarding the tourney indicates a 5:30 CST start....

"Hope and Hanover will play the first game Friday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. with Augustana and Webster to follow at 7:30 p.m. The winners of those games will meet Saturday, March 5 at 7:00 for the right to advance to the Sweet 16."

Unfortunately, Webster has had very small crowds this season.... if they sell 100 tickets I'll be surprised.....
