Seems like the calm before the storm. In case no one is excited enough to kick off the tournament, this can't hurt:

was hoping to read a followup to last weekends championship game on the Calvin Blog for a perspective from the other side, including the statistical jargon that i still don't completely understand but enjoy viewing.  Not trying to be sarcastic, i really appreciate the work that's put into it all and it's fun for me to look at the game in a different light....  Best of luck to the 3 MIAA teams still playing and safe travels to all....

Not really sure if this is the right place to post this but Holland area folks will be interested....
Wes Leonard, Fennville's 2 sport, all-state athlete in football and basketball, collapsed and died after making the game winning shot last evening.

The games highlights were on the local news and no mention was made of the situation.  This morning is a different story.  By all accounts, was THE guy in Fennville, great student, athlete, friend.  I have watched him play a couple of times and am absolutely stunned.

My prayers go out to his family, teammates and community

Sad indeed. Here's the link to the mlive article which includes video of Leonard's game winning overtime basket made moments before he collapsed on the court.

Leonard's head coach is former Hope star, Ryan Klingler.

A sad story indeed.  Don't know how that team will even be able to think about (not that they want to think about that) playing in postseason tournament starting next week.  I just can't see that happening under the conditions.

Prayers for the entire family, team and community.  A huge and unexpected loss.

Pretty quiet before tonight's game.  Lot of people on the board traveling to Augie or is everyone sticking around for the Women's Pod of Death at Hope?

Already in the Quad Cities - finding a nice place for lunch, scope out the area and then off to the game.

Looks like my date with the radio will be postponed... Newer technology always is more attractive!

If you click on the actual link it's through a site called "hearitfromhome.com" I get the impression it is merely an audio feed not video.

That's correct...and it will just be the games that involve Augie...sorry about that.
