Knight2Day

The loss of attendance can also be attributed to the rise of losses and decrease in wins.

Calvin's drop can probably be attributed to not having the MIAA tournament semi-finals this year.

I do not know why, how, or for what reason the Hall of Fame Tournament game with Aquinas is counted as a home game for Hope when the game was played at Aquinas.

I also don't know why the final number does not match the MIAA boxscore calculations.

Either way, it all stayed about the same.

The MIAA, as a conference, also led the Nation in Men's Basketball ateendance.

May be (or not be) of interest to folks on this board but Traverse City Central's Dylan Roe will be going to Wooster this coming year to play basketball.  Not sure if he'll strap on the gridiron equipment too as he was being recruited by some larger institutions in that sport as well (according the article).

http://record-eagle.com/sports/x103914403/TC-Centrals-Roe-commits-to-Wooster

Pretty rare for a kid from Michigan, let alone Northern MI., to be going to a Wooster (or any other Ohio school) for basketball.

27 - I have Hope basketball t-shirts (and probably a pair of orange shorts) older than that...

Happy birthday you young pup!

Hope College gets a name drop on the Yahoo Sports blogs for having the second highest attendance of a non-D1 school in the country.

Nice!!  I was just looking at the stats and noticed that as well.  Hope would have been #2 in DII attendance, and 170th in DI (out of 335 so the middle of the pack).

MSU (15th), U of M (36th) and Oakland (126th) had higher attendance.  Western (170th), Central (173rd), Detroit (179) and Eastern (299th) had lower attendance.

I suggest you run it past oldknight for approval and licensure as well since he already has trademarked the prefix.

Better just to skip the 'old' then ziggy. You'll be tied up in litigation for years.

But by then, you may actually qualify for the adjective. :)
