Mosley is listed as student assistant.

If we had an Adrian roster to look at I think we'd find the 2012-2013 Adrian Bulldogs will be the most experienced team returning for that season.

This is assuming a lot and of course and is way to far into the future.  Adrian only graduated one player last year, Javon Moseley who was only #4 in total minutes.  Their only 2 juniors on its roster played about 5 minutes per game each.  That team was loaded with Sophomores and Sophomores who played a lot.

I have Adrian potentially returning 88% of its minutes this year and probably about the same or more for next year.  They should be at or well above 9000 varsity minutes returning next fall.

Well, as it turns out, the Adrian varsity team has 8 freshmen and 3 players from last year's JV -- don't know what happened to all that experience and only one senior on last year's team...

Brad Whitby played two years at GRCC in 09 and 10, apparently he did not play basketball last winter.

The 3 most prominent missing are Ray Reed, a pretty thin 6-9 kid.  Trey Searles more an offensive linemen playing basketball than a basketball player, and Mitch Gabrielle who disappeared about midway through last season...injury? suspension? don't know.  Two others Zantop and McPherson didn't play much.

Ray Reed didn't look like he meshed well with what Adrian was trying to accomplish.  In the games I saw, Mark White almost seemed perpetually frustrated in him.  Although I am surprised to see he's not on the roster.

Derek Clark played in 23 games or about 5 minutes per game.  I just can't remember much about him.

..... that's about 700 to 800 minutes, all or most off the bench.

Interesting but Toreau Brown brings about 1600 minutes of varsity experience from GVSU with him.

Quoting the last sentence from the overview CM referenced above:

"The team will not travel for a game outside of Michigan during the regular season."

What happened to the Wed. Jan. 25th 7:30 p.m. meeting at Trine shown on the schedule?
???

Didn't you hear - since Hope beat Trine in football this year, Angola has now become part of Michigan.  To the victor go the spoils

Excellent! That means that when I visit my sister's and brother-in-law's lakehouse outside of Angola next summer there will be no need to drive a half-hour on Sunday to evade the Indiana blue laws and buy beer.

I thought Adrian was inexperienced last year.  Looks like they are even less experienced this year!  :o

Toreau Brown is an interesting addition.

Most interesting indeed. Brown is a product of Detroit Renaissance HS where he played for Adrian coach, Mark White, for part of his high school career. I saw Brown play in 2006 when he started as a sophomore for the Renaissance team that beat East Grand Rapids to win the Class B final at the Breslin, scoring 8 points in that game. He's a pretty solid player (a load at 235) and I would expect he will start for the Bulldogs.

Whitby is a 2007 grad who got lost amongst the wealth of talented  GR guards, point guards specifically in that time frame.  To make matters worse, he played in a not-so-great high school system and played AAU with the GR Storm.  That year their team was LOADED with guards and wings- Bradly, Jance Payne from Ottawa, Watts from WO, Van Harn from GRC (yes, he was a heck of a hs point), Pasiack from Rockford, Sutton from Kenowa, as well as 1 or 2 others i can't recall at the moment, maybe Fox from the heights?

He didn't not have stellar stats at Godwin but he and Keithan Jackson made quite the duo.  Stats were average but he is long and athletic, think Krombeen.

I could be way off base but there was a Whitby who was murdered a couple years ago in a shooting, I believe from that part of town.  Not sure if it was a brother or relative, or no connection but if so, possibly explains the brief hiatus.

Western Michigan 92 Kalamazoo 57

Prepolec had 24

another one I found interesting

Kentucky 97 Transylvania 53

For a bunch of kids from Kentucky who probably grew up wanting to play in Rupp Arena, that must have been an awesome experience.

It was his brother. The link mentions Brad.

Here's more on the K vs. WMU game (it was awfully kind of the sports writer to spare a few sentences for Kalamazoo College. Sometimes I feel that the "Kalamazoo Gazette" forgets what it's first name is, but I digress...)
