A glaring hole that some Hope and Calvin fans have failed to really touch on is Hope's inability to hit the 3 pointer. Bowser and Tanis had a lot to do with that last year. Im not saying Bunn and Neil are not capable I am saying they need to find some consistent 3 point threats to get to the next level.
Calvin isn't exactly lighting it up, either.   >:(
Sucks to have your best pure shooter in dress clothes...

Calvin's 2-pt shooting is worse off right now than their 3-pt shooting.

The Knights are making 2-pointers at 94% of league average, and they're making 3-pointers at 97% of league average.

Hope is making 2-pointers at 116% of the league average rate, and they're making 3-pointers at 74% of league average

But their 1-point shooting is dynamite!

True! 107% of league average.

I know it wasn't what was asked (and probably not relevant) but, if you want to compare the top 3 CCIW teams to Hope and Calvin here you go:

Augustana (#1 rank) 48% FG, 35.2% 3PT, 71% FT
Wheaton (#13 rank) 52.3% FG, 41.2% 3PT, 71% FT
North Central(not ranked) 47% FG, 37% 3PT, 74% FT

Hope(#26) 47% FG, 24% 3PT, 67% FT
Calvin (not ranked) 41% FG, 33% 3PT, 78% FT

Just have to keep Haverdink and Snikkers from shooting anymore and our shooting percentage will be right up there with the other 4 teams listed.   ;D ;D

Question for Hope fans that went to the game last night. Were you able to see the new construction project of the Kzoo fields?  Just curious.
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Nope.  Too dark by the time we hit town.  Any word on the progress?

Since it gets dark so much earlier these days, I'm guessing that not many people were able to see the progress. But since I live in the Kazoo area I drove by the site last Saturday (with workers there at the site!) and was amazed at what has been done, and all of the work still outstanding. But looking at the plans, the *New* look for the Kalamazoo College outdoor athletic facilities should really be something, and I'm really happy for you and the rest of the Hornet Family! I even attended one of the City of Kalamazoo Planning meetings prior to the approval lending my support to the project. I know how much the area residents "love" their neighborhood, but I really felt the plan respected their needs as well as those needs of the college. On the other hand, I'm not sure the newest building that will house the new Social Justice Center did the same homework, but we'll just have to see.

From what I recall, the project (new football, baseball, soccer, and softball fields, lockerooms, and an intramural field is suppose to be completed for the Fall 2012 seasons - correct?

Very Cool!

I had the same thought last night when I watched the Albion/Calvin women play.  Must have been a special on paint the week they decided to paint the floor.

Sac, I know you watch Albion quite closely.  What's your take on the Brits this year?
