I believe Prepolec is the only active 1000 point scorer in the MIAA right now.  I'm not sure if there's an easy way to get a ranking of the rest, but I'm sure Bunn/Krombeen/Snikkers are all near the top of the list for the next grouping of players that have a chance to get to the 1k mark.

I have Snikkers at 792.
Krombeen looks to be at 845.
Bunn looks to be at 899 at Hope plus what looks like 19 at Oakland for a grand total of 918.

I have the same numbers for Krombeen and Bunn.  Kind of been hoping they would somehow hit 1000 during the same game this year.  I haven't been considering the 19 points Pete scored at Oakland - not sure if I will going forward .  Thoughts anyone?

I had to double-check, but the MBB at the top of the page does stand for men's basketball.

If you're going down that path, then you better tell Kruis too (and probably a whole lot of others)  - since looking at the first 7 games they each played in college, it's a pretty even match (oh yeah, one of NVAs was against a DI).

Player - Reb  -  Ast  - TO  - Blks - Stl -  Pts  -  Min

NVA --- 23 --- 12 --- 16 --- 9 --- 3 --- 40 --- 141
TK   --- 26 ---  1 ---   4 --- 4 --- 1 --- 14 ---  76

Now to put them on an even field - here are the per minute stats

Player - Reb  -  Ast  - TO  - Blks - Stl -  Pts
NVA -- .16  -- .09 -- .11 -- .06 -- .02 -- .28
TK  --  .34  -- .01 -- .05 -- .05 -- .01 -- .18

In a one-on-one between VanArondonk and Verkaik, who would you pick?

He played in three games at CMU, so his line should go:

NVA -- .12 -- .09 -- .11 -- .04 -- .02 -- .24

Then perhaps the better comparison would be the two players' first 6 games against non-D1 opponents (or maybe as players on D3 teams).  How do those numbers look?
If there is one thing I've learned from this board it's this: There's more than one way to split a hair.

1,000 point scorers

Trine's Ian Jackson will probably be the next MIAA player to go over 1,000.  He's at 903 right now and has a really good shot at reaching 1,500 next year.

Two other guys who will come close to 1,000 this year, both from Alma.
Corey Schneider 738
Tommy Erickson 621

I don't think Erickson will make it, Schneider's points per game right now won't get him to 1,000.

Albion's Kolin Kazan will probably be pretty close to 1,000 by next season.  He's at 512 right now and it seems like he's going to be the guy carrying quite a bit of Albion's offensive load.

I wish the MIAA kept track of total 3 point shots made.  Cory Schneider has 161 right now, I would think that could be close to making a top 10 if the league had one.

Snuggerud is at 587 right now, so I would anticipate he has a shot next year as well.

Steve Brooks made 253.
Mo Brookens made 230.
Andy Draayer made 221.
Brian Schaefer made 217.
Caleb Veldhouse made 215.
Wes Weir made 210.
Matt Veltema made 191.
Ryan Clark made 178.
Brett Quayle made 175.
Mike Thomas made 168.

...not a complete list, but it's an idea of where Cory stands.

I assume this is just from the stats available on miaa.org going back to around 2001 or so.  There are some really good 3 point shooters that wouldn't be counted on this list.  Names escaped me now but Kzoo, Albion, Hope and Calvin all had a bunch of guys who could shoot the ball in the 90's.

Hope's leader is Joel Holstege with 181.

Kalamazoo's leader is Dirk Rhinehart with 210
