Good luck to Hope.  As we all know, Illinois Wesleyan is the only real IWU!  Indiana is an imposter, Iowa is IWC (I believe), and Idaho seems to be virtually the only state without a Wesleyan! 8-)

I've heard this vocalized as "I-woo" for Indiana Wesleyan, and "I-W-U" for Illinois Wesleyan. Anyone know if that's generally the case, or if it just so happened to be in the few instances I've heard people speak about each school.

Watching the Olivet game now and that gym they're playing in really looks familiar.  I could swear I saw a great game there some time ago...maybe about twenty years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl5fBqFKwDM

The league falls to 41-40 after today's 2-5 performance, after playing with house money for the last few weeks, the pit boss is smiling.

Monmouth 78, Olivet 62 is now final.

League moves to 41-41 overall

I have the MIAA at 17-15 in-region with only one game to play, but I haven't verified all of those games as actually being in-region.

Trine over Knox 94-85
Kzoo beats Northland 85-78

Alma is tied with Baldwin-Wallace 41-41 at halftime. One more win will put the league over .500 for the non-conference season.

Well, so far the Scots are doing more than just trying to stay within 20.  Down by 15 in the first half, they rallied to tie it up at the half, Alma 41 - Baldwin Wallace 41.

BW 89 Alma 81

really don't know what to think of the OAC, good showing for Alma.

Hardly the 20. I woulda said I'd agree with you in the past couple of year, but with Tommy Erickson's maturity, and the intensity Coach Hargraves is bringing to this team, it's allowing the Scots to be right with these teams that would have beat them handily in the past....I'd even go far enough to say the Scots win tonight without the departure of Brett Lackie....

Sounds like we have a pretty good basketball team there...

Hope 70  Indiana Wesleyan 66

Hope battled some foul trouble early, mostly Krombeen  who played only 2 minutes of the first half, and the usual NVA headache.  Krombeen must have been awesome in the 2nd half.  Lots of mini runs back and forth.

Peter Bunn knocked down 2 FT's with 11 seconds left to pretty much seal it......Krombeen blocks a 3 for good measure

Krombeen 17, Bunn 14, Snugeruud 9  Bench was big  Ray 8, Neil 8, Holwerda 8

Hope goes to 10-1 and concludes what can only be described as a terrific non-conference portion of the schedule.

Looks like we DO have stats for tonight's Calvin-Whitman game.

http://www.whitman.edu/athletics/livestats/xlive.htm

Well, we have a stat page with no actual stats. We'll see.

With Hope's win the MIAA will finish with a winning non-conference slate, first time in 6 years.   :)

Love the bench play from Hope for a second straight game!!  24 points last night, 26 tonight - against some really good competition.

Josh Holwerda with his best game at Hope tonight - 8 points (including 6-6 from the line), 5 boards, 3 blocks, a steal and an assist.

Doesn't look like we get stats for this one.
Audio: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/calvin.portal#

We won't get much audio either.  Certainly won't get much emotion.

After reading your posts about the broadcast, I tuned in for a few minutes tonight to see how it sounded.  All I can say is WOW!!  Might need to record that as a cure for insomnia

KNIGHTRHOPE

In addition to the Live stats not working...the team is once again playing poorly, and the radio announcer could not be worse.  UNBELIEVABLE!  Whose idea was it to ask this guy to broadcast.......terrible.  It is so annoying that I am tempted to let them play without my mental telepathy urging them on! :P    GO  CALVIN !!!!
