Should be a sell out tonight in Adrian.  This is going to be a back and worth game with Adrian pulling away at the end.  Bulldogs by 4

Should be a great game.  Always hard to play at the Merillat.  Hope by 9.  :)

I expect a very competitive game tonight in Adrian, too.  The outcome might hinge on how the officials call it.  Adrian's defense was extremely physical at Calvin on Saturday, and the officials let almost everything go -- which fell to the Bulldogs' advantage, I believe.

Except a clean block and a clean steal right near the end.  :'(  (probably the worst crew I've seen this year)

Can anyone tell me if Calvin away games are broadcast on 102.9 as well as the internet?  I'm hoping that tonight's men's game at Albion will also be on the radio.

Great, thanks!

Appears as though Albion won't be providing video for tonight's game. :(

Unless you get the bald guy and Steggman, the combo at the Calvin at Alma game.  Thought Hargraves would come unglued.

is this a calvin fan complaining about officiating!?  now i've seen it all.  in my experience, MIAA officials are very much pro-calvin and pro-hope.  it's a tough pill to swallow for the rest of the league, but i guess that's just the way it is.  they want these schools to win so that they keep drawing big crowds, meaning more money coming in.  ESPECIALLY at vannoord... the knights get the benefit of the doubt on almost any "close call".  and i see jim schipper reffing way too many calvin games.  it should clearly be a conflict of interest and they should send him to another game, but it is what it is.  like i said, the other teams just have to deal with it

Jim Schipper officiated one game this season in which Calvin played -- against Willamette University in the opening weekend of the season.

Calvin gets all the calls.  That's why the Knights are 9-10.

It would be a conflict and that is why he does not officiate any MIAA games in which Calvin plays.

Similarly, Geerlings and Stegeman also presumably are recused from officiating Hope games in conference.

Apparently AlexJ did not see the game on Saturday.  Although the calls mentioned all went against Calvin, there were others that were also called wrong or not called that were just obvious to the point where you wonder how any 3 refs could miss them.  The one that particularly comes to mind is one in which the Calvin player's entire body was hit as he dribbled down the side, but nothing was called.  It was a terrible job by the referees.
