Hope-Calvin, Wooster-Wittenberg, and Amherst-Williams are all playing this weekend during ESPN Rivalry Week.

Interesting Coincidence...

Game on!  Let's get OK, GK, HC and Stinger out on the links and in the pubs this summer.  I watched Stinger many times on the hardwood, lo those many years ago, and it would be fun to observe at close range his finesse game around the bunkers and the greens.  We might manage to never run out of topics of discourse, as well.

I guess I will allow this. Sometimes, its best just to avoid playing with the bombers, even if you are sneaky long like OK.

I think one of Calvin or Hope's ADs should  contact ESPN to try to get College Gameday to come to one of the Calvin-Hope games in the future.  I do not think it's that far-fetched considering the football version of College Gameday seems to go to "smaller" school type games once or twice a season.

3 of the last 4 Hope/Calvin games Hope has faced a double-digit deficit at some point in the game and twice come back to win.

2012 @ Hope---down 12 with 1 and half min in 1st half.....won by 16
2011 @ Calvin---down 18 with 2 min left in 1st half....won by 6
2011 @ Hope---down by 14 a couple times......lost by 14

The 2011 MIAA Championship meeting saw Hope lead by 16 with about 10 min to play and Calvin was able to cut the lead to 3 with 30 seconds left in the game.  Hope won by 5

The 2010 MIAA Championship game Hope led by 14 in the first half before Calvin came back to lead by 6. Hope rallied again to win by 4.

Double digit deficits have kind of become the norm over the last few games, which is strange.  Four of the last 5 games have seen that big lead evaporate.

That is something I have thought about as well. I say we organize a letter writing campaign as soon as march madness is over.

I read this as "Crazy high school drunk."

Also, I am hearing rumors of a guest assistant coach for Hope on Saturday.  If the rumors are true, I take Hope + Coach Ditka: 176, Calvin: -19.  It might be a bit different if Ditka doesn't actually make it.

Hate to be Johnny Raincloud, but I don't believe he got that off in time...

According to the video, I definitely don't think he got it off in time.  However, it could be misleading as plenty of youtubes (in my experience) have had a lag between audio and visual.

Afterwards a beer at New Holland? Yes, I admit, there are a few things I like that have come out of Holland. I'm obligated to say, of course, NHB is no Bell's.   ;)

I do like a few of the offereings at New Holland, but you are definitely correct in saying that NHB is no Bells!  Bells wins hands down!  In fact, I've been enjoying arguably my favorite Bells seasonal the past couple of weeks, HopSlam!  Mmmmm, that's one tasty IPA!  8-)

I'll call your Bells and raise you a Founders.

Don't get me wrong.  I like me some Founders as well.  Drinking some Centennial IPA as I type this post as a matter of fact.  But I will still take Bells any day of the week!

For me I don't even need college game day. One of these espnu games would be just fine. Hope and Calvin has to be as intriguing as green bay at Wright state!
