Closer game than it should have been.

I know, Adrian can't be happy with all those missed free throws and as many turnovers as field goal attempts in overtime!

Today's game showed why every non-Hope fan should have been rooting for Adrian. It would have been nice to see what kind of trouble they could have given an opponent in the tournament.

Give Adrian credit for a valiant effort today.  Congrats to Hope players and staff.  However, Hope will have to play much better than they did today to go far in the NCAA tourney.  As Ziggy alluded to, free throws are the "name of the game" when it gets to this point in the season as Adrian found out today.  In the OT, Hope didn't help themselves either with those missed free throws.  Anyway, we'll await the NCAA pairings and Hope will be able to recharge this week (with Coach Neil having them practice free throw shooting daily we hope! :o ::) ;D :)) and get ready for the next round.

Stats seem to show that MN's son saved Hope's bacon today. A non-starter, Logan played 35 minutes and scored 16.

Well, also except for fans of bubble teams! :P

Yeah, well, none of those in here, unfortunately.

Yeah, not in the MIAA, but I'm a semi-regular on MIAA boards, and IWU is about as 'bubbly' as it gets.

very disappointing finish with all the turnovers and miss Ft's, can't ask for much more then a chance for the win at the end regulation.  great season for the bulldogs.  With everyone coming back next year, we should be back in this position with hopefully home court advantage.

On a side note- Tough listening to the arrogant Hope announcers though.

OK, for all the cracking we do on Hope for not having a video stream I have to jump in here. Adrian is playing in the MIAA championship game in one of the league's highest profile sports and they don't have their own broadcast team in the arena? WEAK!

Adrianguy55

Ziggy,
I agree with you, but if we did send a broadcasting crew they would give the Hope players a little more credit.  Adrian wasn't some team that pulled off 3 upsets to get to this game.  They are a legitimate team who deserved to be in this game.

Alas, I fear you're right.  I'm pinning my hopes on Lake Forest (who lost to unranked Carroll) falling below IWU (who lost to #2 Wheaton) in the final regional rankings.  IF we get to the table early, SOS and regionally-ranked results just might sneak us in.
