Are YOU heading East this weekend?

Of course!  I've entrusted FDF/CM with the task of getting me a ticket, and I know I am in capable hands.

Point of order:   :) :) :)
Regarding the previously mentioned steal and dunks.  I can't help but notice that one picture shows a steal against Calvin, and the video opponent is Adrian.
So does this mean two steals, and two dunks? or am I being confused by GS's use of a photo from the Calvin game?

You're being confused. [bites tongue]

Love that video - and I had forgotten about the nice pass by Krombeen that lead to the dunk!!

It was a very nice sequence.

Should anything go amiss, blame FDF! That's the default position.  Blame FDF!

Gotta look on the bright side.  Unlike the past two seasons, Selection Monday is stress-free and devoid of any disappointment for us Calvin fans.    ;)

Dutchmen Nation, enjoy the ride!

I agree 13-13, and 16-12 teams do alot to relieve selection Monday stress.
While you personally might not be disappointed today you don't speak for me as a Calvin fan.
I am extremely disappointed.
I am disappointed over 13-13, and 16-12 seasons, and losing the conference tournament on our home floor two years in a row.  I was disappointed with the 07-08 16-11 seasom as well.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Has there ever been an MIAA first team with only 1 senior? Looking like a tough race for first team next year with 5 juniors sticking around.

If some of you Calvin posters are happy with the past 5 years performance by the Calvin men's basketball program that is fine by me.  We are each entitled to our opinion.  Mine, obviously, is that 13-13 is nothing to feel good about.  I don't think 16-11 or 16-12 are anything to brag about either.
I know many of you are already looking forward to next year, and in that I join you.
However, I have to temper my optimism with the date of Feb. 15th, 2012.  Many of the guys you are all placing so much confidence in for next year played in that game.   If a 73-54 loss at the hands of Trine, following a 1 point o.t. win over Alma,  doesn't give you some clue that Calvin has a problem or two I don't know what will.
Finally I think we have reached the point of a moment of truth.  Next year the inexperience excuse should no longer be valid, hopefully the academic, and injury "get out of jail free" cards will also be invalid.  Nothing that next years team will accomplish, for me at least, will remove the bad taste left in my mouth from the past 5 squandered years.  I wish nothing but the best for the Calvin men's team going forward, and once next year is done if the results aren't significantly better (MIAA title,  MIAA tournament title[on our floor], NCAA appearance, and 20+ wins I trust you will join me in calling for a long overdue change.
I am calling you all out.  You can't have it both ways.  You can't continue to tell me how great Calvin's players are, and at the same time make excuses for their lack of performance.  If the problem isn't the players (which I doubt any of you seriously think it is) than you are going to have to acknowledge what the problem is.
