UWSP - 119 tickets,  IWU-80 tickets, Westminster-40 requested. Tickets, once returned were sold at 1PM today. We have about a hundred left or so. Should be close to a full house by tomorrow night. We've been selling tickets steadily since Monday afternoon. Safe travels to everyone coming, and if you have questions about tickets I will do my best to answer them!

I actually have a dinner plans at 7:00 pm Saturday with another from DewCrew regular and his wife on Saturday night (we made plans long ago and without thinking ahead:() But I do have full permission to come to Holland next weekend if all works out!

I'm thinking that I will be sitting at the Brewery by 3:30 tomorrow. All fellow posters who would like to gather for a celebratory bump (Chuck?) should feel free to meet me there. I'll be wearing a Hope hoodie and reading Wendell Berry. The brewery is two blocks west of the field house on the corner of 8th and College.

Not sure of my pre-game plans, but I'll keep this in mind.

NHBC is only two blocks west if you've been imbibing for at least two hours.  Otherwise, it's more like six blocks.
Come on. Lincoln on the west side, Columbia and then College. I guess it's one to the north also. But I'll buy you a beer cuz' if you come root on the MIAA.
For those of you who haven't been in Holland for a decade, the NHBC is in the former Vogelzang Hardware building.

With the tradition of IWU fans traveling, that absolutely shocks me!  Of course, there ARE those of us who acquired tickets other than thru IWU, so I'd bet there will be more than just 80 in attendance. ;)  (But it looks like it won't be the 5-600 that I'd anticipated. :P)

Hope fans, I'll be cheering lustily for you in game two; looks like I may need your support in game one!

I will be IWU/UWSP agnostic.  I only want to see a good D3 game. :)

There was an article in the local paper about the Hope players celebrating too early after Colton Overway's dunk, on the Krombeen behind the back pass, gave Hope a 3-point lead near the end of the Adrian game (to which Adrian promptly responded with a 3-point play).  Someone pass along to me another example of a premature basketball celebration:

The perfect pod:

In my 6 years of following Hope College basketball, I have traveled 8 times to watch teams play in the NCAA tournament. Those trips have always been very exciting, fun, and been a great way to connect with many people. Even if, of those 8 times, Hope has won their pod twice. The seven trips have been to Aurora, Salem, Wheaton, Rock Island, Bloomington, Illinois (twice), and Stevens Point (twice). I have seen three seasons end in Bloomington and SP, and my time in the Dew Crew ended at SP. I have long since awaited a chance to reverse roles like this, and am excited at the possibilities that this weekend possesses.

Go Hope! Is it 5:30 yet?
Its a great day to be a Dutchman!

It's FRIDAY!!!!

In that case, Hopester, you ought to be really excited by the prospect of Wash U next weekend. (Not taking anything for granted of course.)

As for premature celebrations, I know one Hope poster who will happily recall this one:

There may have been an article written about this finish but I wouldn't say that Hope players celebrated to early... Overway's dunk was electric and The Devos was rocking but I thought the 5 Hope players on the floor transitioned into defense pretty quickly. Adrian proceeded to find an open guard who had only scored 2 points prior to the biggest shot of his life! Right in front of me...

Pointlem, that is a classic video you posted! It is a great reminder to play to the final buzzer! Especially this time of year! Win or go home...

Speaking of home.... Hopester, it sure is nice to not be traveling this weekend! We have had some great times on the road together! In NCAA tourny play alone we have gone over 3,000 miles together! See you tonight!
