Also congratulations to Adrian for winning a 4th straight MIAA baseball Championship (yes, I know there's a baseball board).  No one had won more than 3 in a row since Alma in 1958 when they completed an 8 year string of championships.  The Bulldogs are without a doubt the dominant baseball program in the league right now.

This of course looks great.......
2009 Adrian (25-3)
2010 Adrian (23-5)
2011 Adrian (24-4)
2012 Adrian

but it pales compared to the Kzoo men's tennis team who won their 74th consecutive MIAA Championship last weekend.

Yes, like basketball its for the NCAA auto-bid.  Baseball still has 4 games this weekend before next weeks tournament.

Hope has named its 3 captains for next season.  Sr's Nate Snuggerud, Coltan Overway and Josh Holwerda.

Single elimination? That seems like the worst idea ever.

It's not single elimination. Except the first two games are being played Wednesday with the No. 1 seed hosting the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 seed hosting the No. 3 seed. All four teams will then go to the No. 1 seed on Thursday for the next day's games. In my opinion, the big thing will be pitching in the tournament because you have to play nine-inning games.

Nice - although a bit strange that the angle of the photo makes Josh appear to be about the same size as Colton - but I guess they do both have similar "hops". :)

I like how they're each holding a basketball. Otherwise how would we know what sport they play?

I'm sure they did that for the occasional Calvin fan who might stumble across the Hope website, and get confused.  Apparently that assumption was right  :)   :P

I usually can tell what sports are played at a school but what banners are in the rafters :)

Also, sad to see Hope is no longer chasing the 'smallest uniform font' award this year. I thought they could have gone even smaller with the 'HOPE' on the front.
