I had heard Will may play in Germany next year, but nothing confirmed to my knowledge.

Albion's Brandon Crawford is playing in South America now, looks like he's recently moved to Argentina.

I believe Ty Tanis and Michael McClary are both still in Australia.

Last I heard Dan Aultman is still playing in France.

Wondering if anyone has insight in regards to the recent Hope grads who are playing overseas, or in Krombeen's case, contemplating playing abroad?  Or any other recent MIAA grads....

Cramer & Immink have both retired.

I didn't know Immink was playing over seas. I played on an AIA team with him in summer of 04. Where/ how long did he play?

Michael Thomas back to his alma mater:

http://www.hollandsentinel.com/sports/x448237542/Albion-College-mens-basketball-adds-Kalamazoo-Centrals-Michael-Thomas-to-coaching-staff

and confirmed on the Albion website:

Are we sure this isn't just a rumor  http://www.mlive.com/sports/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2012/06/kalamazoo_central_basketball_c.html   ;)

I think most of us felt Michael would be back in college coaching one day and its pretty nice he gets that opportunity at Albion.  Welcome back!

Rumor's have to occasionally be true - otherwise they lose their appeal I guess.  Interesting that the rumors that get the most vehement opposition are often the ones that are true, hence the often quoted:

In fact it may be the first full time assistant since May.  It has been said Albion was the only Men's program without a full time assistant.

Hope has a full-time assistant?  Calvin too?

Mr. Ypsi

Well, if the Tigers make the World Series, they won't have home field - partially (largely?) due to their All Stars.  Verlander was hammered - his worst inning in 2.5 years.  Fielder and Cabrera both went hitless.

I bet I haven't watched a full all-star game since before the '94 strike.

The Moneyball Pro-Am league began this past weekend here in Lansing.  A couple interesting roster notes.

Calvin's Mickey DeVries is playing for the 'Green' team.  His teammates include  Michigan State's Keith Appling, Adreian Payne and Fr. to be Gary Harris.

The 'Orange' team is  made up entirely of Kalamazoo's roster except for MSU's Alex Gauna and Brandon Kearney, and Oakland U's Ryan Bass.

If you get just terribly, terribly bored and want to see some summer basketball all games are free at Pattengill Middle School which is a relatively new building on Lansing's East side nearer to MSU.  Its a chance to see some Spartans in a less structured environment.
