It can count on Hope's record... but not on their official NCAA record - thus qualifications for an NCAA bid if a Pool C is their way in.

'13-'14 season will be interesting for Hope, I suspect.

So Hope is playing Faith. I trust that Charity will be on the schedule in due time.

I don't suppose I need to tell you which of these three institutions is the greatest. ;)
Knew it was only a matter of time before that joke showed up.   ;D

We're in the top 3 (mentioned only 180 times in the NIV) - I'm good with that!

Always satisfied with runner-up status, eh?

They are changing the what-games-count criteria. All games will be considered in regional rankings and selections as long as 70% of a team's games are in their region (and eligible)... it will make scheduling a real commodity for Hope, I suspect.

Historically that's been a one in-region game difference between being under or over that threshold.

The lack of Kelly Ripa jokes in this thread is truly disheartening.

With the season sneaking up on us who is the consensus biggest impact freshman coming to the MIAA this year?

Gotta see who actually ends up on the rosters before I make any predictions.

Trine actually has their roster already posted, and it includes a former Hope JV player (10-11 season) - Jake Bagley.  Jake had some serious health issues last year, so I'm happy to see him in school with a chance to play some ball.

Great question!  Hope has several interesting freshmen that could make a big impact, but until we see how they transition from hs ball to college ball (especially picking up their defensive game), its anyone's guess.  And, as FDF said, gotta see who actually ends up on the rosters...

Trine has already played their first exhibition vs Windsor University, losing 84-68.  Story here;

Trine has already played their first exhibition vs Windsor University, losing 84-68.  What is the rule as far as when teams are permitted to practice and play?  I did not think that NCAA rules permitted teams to practice yet, much less to be actually playing exhibition games.  What's the deal?
