Don't think of it as a "rebound", then, Chuck, in the sense that "rebound" implies that the ball is still live. Think of it as a "get". Somebody has to "get" the ball after every shot, because a shot puts a possession up for change.

Good suggestion, Greg.  Now, can you 'get' them to change the livestats and boxscores columns from 'rebounds' to 'gets'?! ;D

I don't "get" it.  I thought "deadball" had something to do with my weird Uncle Charlie.  He's a nut case.

Thanks to all on the info regarding deadball rebounds.  I know I for one will sleep easier tonight.  Seriously, I appreciate it.

Adrian's last 2 opponents have scored 46 and 49 points, Calvin's last 3 have scored 49, 43 and 57

Last game was 56-50 to Calvin

Albion 71  Olivet 58

Olivet is just a completely different team away from Cutler.  Albion's Fr. really turned the game in their favor esp. Beal and Watson.  But all the Fr. combined for 48 points.

Trine 63  Kzoo 51

Nice turnout from the K students.

Olivet's tournament hopes took a serious hit today, I was kind of assuming they needed to go 6-1 at home, which is still possible and had to get 2 road wins.  For that to happen now they'd have to win 2 out of their 3 road games at Adrian, Hope and Calvin.  That's pretty tough, esp if they continue to be a different team on the road than at home.

Olivet:    KZOO, ALMA, @Adrian, TRINE, @Hope, @Calvin

Here's to a Calvin win tonight to cap off a celebratory birthday observance for one of my finest friends, the distinguished barrister and one of the most insightful contributors to this board.

My buddy oldknight has become the ever-so-slightly olderknight.  Best wishes for a great year!

And getting older by the minute as Calvin misses their first 13 shots from the field and go into the break trailing 25-20. These kinds of MIAA starts on the road is a bad habit Calvin needs to break.

Cody Barnes has 15 in the first half.  As oldknight suggested, the Knights are shooting poorly (29 percent) and are losing the turnover battle 9-4.

I was actually feeling pretty good about things until I saw how Calvin closed out the half. 11 point swing over the last six minutes was discouraging.

Livestats timewarp:

Craig Toren is having a heck of a game for Hope tonight, 2for2 from the floor and 2for2 from the line.  David Krombeen and Nate King are also playing but neither having much of a game.
