Using MIAA refs tonight?

I wish they were because an MIAA crew would be a notable improvement over what we are seeing tonight. This group is ruining what is otherwise a great game.

Just glad it's not a 2 point game, considering that blown goaltending call in the second minute.  The refs were indeed utter crap, but Lville played a great 2nd half.
If there is one thing I've learned from this board it's this: There's more than one way to split a hair.

Agreed. The better team won tonight.

That's what two teams playing at an efficiency of 1.22 points per possession looks like.  Spike Albrecht's little moment or 3 put Michigan at a 1.8 points per possession level.

I'll cut the dudes who were supposed to manage that game a little slack, that game was played at a level most humans can't keep up with.  They were caught watching the action several times.

But Trey Burke's block.  OMG  :-X

Mr. Ypsi

First half: Spike Albrecht.  Last two minutes of first half: Luke Hancock.  Unfortunately, the last minute heroics by Luke almost completely neutralized Spike's replacement of Trey Burke.

Second half: Michigan took a decent lead, then imploded.  From up 5 to down 5 seemed awfully sudden.

My take is that only Trey Burke is ready for the NBA.  I'm guessing that Tim Hardaway will also go, but I think that is a mistake.  In case Glenn Robinson III also wants to jump - DON'T.  You'll be there someday, but this is not the day.  And Mitch McCrary - you just might be #1 in a year or two; don't get greedy after a handful of fantastic games!

I just read the Grand Rapids Press and I saw that both Cody Stuive and Brad Visser are all-area so to speak. I was wondering would there decisions be the affected by Calvin being ranked 7th in the nation or would they stay the same. Also just wondering if Stuive has any experience in the guard slot because that could be a position we may need him to play(if of course he decided to go to Calvin).

WOTS is that Stuive will not be coming to Calvin.

He's headed to Hope, if that hasn't been announced here.

I didn't want to be the one to do that.  Thanks, KS.

Now we need to say nasty things about him so us Knight fans don't have another reason to worry about the rivalry. ;D ;D  ;D Just joking he is a great ball player and I hope he succeeds at what he does.

For all you Scot fans or anyone interested in know Cody Edgerton the starting point guard at Yale high school (who averages somewhere around 17 PPG if my math is correct ;D)is deciding between Alma, St Clair County Community College and Cornell University. It is odd that those 3 would be in the same group because St Clair is a small community college that sells season tickets for basketball for $15 while Cornell is a large and prestigious university that has 4000 college courses plus it has a veterinarian meds school and a law school. Alma, as may of you may know, is a Presbyterian church based college with an enrollment of 1300 students. Very odd those would be his choices.

It's always interesting where kids look and end up.  My collection of college visits included a final 5 of  Denison, Hope, Michigan, Bowling Green and Western Michigan.  I also 'looked' at Indiana though I never visited.  The only other MIAA I considered was Albion, but I never wanted to go to school that close to home.

Anyway, Grace Bible has themselves a 'big' recruit.
