Who remembers the old punch card all-star ballots they used to hand out at the ballparks.  Grab a handful and work away through batting practice......between Darrel Evans and Kirk Gibson home runs of course.

Only time voting ever felt like it mattered to me. :-\

Well, I punched a ballot at Target Field a few weeks ago. They still exist.

2013-14 Albion schedule is out.  I am assuming they will add more games because they currently have only 22 listed.

Calvin's schedule has been modified to include College of Faith's participation in the Tip-Off Tournament. It's also now notated as a true tournament.

Friday's (compelling, oh so compelling) matchups:

CoF vs. Grace
Kuyper at Calvin

At least it is formatted so that Calvin should avoid a matchup with CoF. Still, not a great weekend of games.

They still do.

Its been awhile since I was at a ballpark during voting time, I had assumed by now it was all electronic.  My bad, still a good memory though.

Lake Forest will be playing at Hope's tournament this year.  Pretty sure Illinois Wesleyan is one of the other 2 teams.

http://www.goforesters.com/sports/mbkb/2013-14/schedule

The schedule I saw weeks ago had Hope vs Lake Forest, IWU vs 4th team.  4th team is already scheduled to play IWU somewhere else according to their website so this may change.

LF had 4 Michigan kids on the roster and at least one recruit coming in from the Detroit area.  LF went 7-16 last year with mostly an underclassman roster, only 2 Sr's.

Only in West Michigan would Faith and Grace, Kuyper and Calvin, be set off against each other.

I think we should look for a game against the College of Works. (And - no - Aquinas doesn't count.)
One Mississippi, Two Mississippi...

How about Oberlin? Charles Finney once served as President there.

I suggest the paltry proceeds from this, um, tournament be given to Charity.  For that would be the greatest of these.
