Doesn't surprise me, he was always a homer anyway.

Pat Coleman

Tom Renner remains the school's PR director. I am surprised they had one person doing both jobs for so long.

Trine 2013-14 schedule.  Plenty of D III Opponents.

http://www.trine.edu/athletics/mens_sports/basketball/schedule/

Plenty of not very good ones too.  That's not a very strong schedule, likely to produce a below .500 SOS out of conference.

Pat Coleman

Cool -- good to see three of the PrestoSports customers already with schedules up, and with Calvin and Hope joining this offseason, we should see great MIAA updates this academic year.

We're in the middle of building out pages for 2013-14 but with 800 of them, it's a long process. About a quarter of the way through. :)

Pairings for the Defiance Tournament Albion is participating in:

Marietta vs Ohio Wesleyan
Albion vs Defiance

That first game is a juicy Great Lakes match-up.   Defiance could be a pretty good team next year. Albion would get the winner or loser of the Marietta/OWU game the next day, either one should be a strong opponent.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Thanks for posting that link -some interesting prospects for the Hornets, and one that should be an immediate nominee to the cool name team: Koji Vroom.  If that kid is fast to go along with his name...

The Dykema kid can flat out score. He can really shoot the rock. I expect he will be a varsity player for K right away even if he suffers a bit on the defensive end until he learns the need to do that at the college level.

The entire non-league season looks very strong....

By my count, Hope has 4 in region games guaranteed in the pre-conference portion of the season - aka no worries about the 70% rule.

Wheaton (within the 200 mile rule)
Lake Forest (within the 200 mile rule)
Centre (same administrative region)
Thomas More (GL region)

Other DIII opponents (which will also "count" since the 70% threshold has been met):

UWW
UWSP
Carthage
IWU or Wilmington (another potential GL region game)
Edgewood

That leaves only the two local NAIA schools as non DIII opponents.  Nicely done Coach Neil!!!!!!
