There wasn't a memo. I just checked a box -- thought I'd see if it changed the way it's used at all.

One thing I see if you certainly see better who the lightning rods are, people with lots of pluses and minuses. And people who think they are getting serially smited but can't tell for sure because all the see is the total now have a little more info.
Now I have to post this just to see where my numbers are.

M.Live just posted articles about Michigan and Michigan State's first basketball practices.  That seems much earlier than in previous years.  It does not include the usual midnight madness of previous years and seems much earlier than when those occur.  Are those official practices?  Clearly they are more than just informal practices since  the coaches are quoted as being there.

When are MIAA teams scheduled to start practicing?  Is there a different rule for Division I than for Division III of the NCAA?

This is discussed in a thread on the multi-regions board.  (Yes, they have different rules for d1 and d3.)

That's the information I was looking to receive.  Thanks!  With practice starting in just 2 weeks, this should be an especially interesting preseason since both Hope and Calvin will have to replace 6 varsity members who played significant minutes--at least most of them.  Who will start and who will play most of the backup time has to be really up in the air right now.  Hope's starting lineup will probably be quite predictable except for the shooting forward since so many sophomore's had major roles already last year.  But Calvin's 4th and 5th starters and usual backups really include a lot of possible combinations.

Do people really care about their Karma ratings?

Some might care enough to make blank posts so they can check what they look like. :)
