I am told that all of Hope's home games are video-streamed at www.hope.edu/live and will be from henceforth.

This is true for both men's and women's games.

Hope release.  http://athletics.hope.edu/sports/14Broadcast

For the men Albion and Alma will be broadcast.  For the women  Calvin and Albion

And go around the 3:30 mark to listen to Olivet Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Coles.

So it's not all remaining home games.  Maybe one day they will realize it's 2014  ;)

I was told by someone involved it would be all the rest of the games. I guess we'll see.

You can learn a little about Hope's schedule gauntlet next year.

@CCIW/MIAA tournament - Carthage & Wheaton
@IWU (tournament)

Reminder to set your DVRs for noon this Sunday, February 2,  for Wood TV 8, in which former Calvin grad and local media guy, Ryan Terpstra,  has created a somewhat documentary of the Calvin-Hope rivalry from a historical prospective.

Here's a sneak-peak preview.

I read it'll be available on the web after it airs, for those that don't live in West Michigan.

That is brutal, but smart when it comes to the WIAC teams, both SP and UWW are going to lose 3 key Sr starters this year.  I know they are traditional powers who re-load, but losing to them was a given for Hope this year so they may as well play them on the road and get them in DeVos next year where they will have a much better chance at a signature win while they (SP & UWW) break in some new faces in key spots.

WOTS is Calvin is playing in WI next year vs UW-Oshkosh and Ripon for their holiday break.

I did a halfway thing on my blog, click the link below in my signature to take a look.  Surely we can find something to debate besides the weather.

I'll bite: I have to think Mickey DeVries finds his way onto an All-MIAA team. 11 ppg, 60% shooting, one of the best rebounders in the league.

And I will wager that senior Nate Van Arendonk, who is having his best year--averaging 11 points (69% shooting) and 7 rebounds in 23 minutes per game in MIAA play--will also be a candidate for recognition.

DeVries and Van Arendonk were the two guys I couldn't find a spot for.

The 11am hope at Trine JV game is not happening. Fell victim to the early travel south by the Hope team (last evening) to ensure the varsity game could happen. Still a 1pm start for the varsity game.

I was wondering if any teams would consider doing this. I can imagine Hope didn't want to risk going two games down on the schedule.
