Very similar team stats, but I have to believe Hope's size and deep bench are big pluses for the Flying Dutchmen

Even bigger question--what is a credenza?

Pretty sure there's at least one by one of your fireplaces.

Maybe the light of the fireplaces - nice soft, warm, relaxing glow on a cold winters night is what the original post about lighting was referring to

Someone needs to send Sethteater to the school of D3Board "quotes". Okay, I'll do it.

Just hit the "quote" button on the upper right and then start typing at the bottom below this  [{forward slash}quote]. You seem to be erasing the header of the quote. You can do this. We have faith in you.

I modified all of his posts from today in CCIW Chat (and yours as well that quoted him) in order to make your conversation readable. I'm not going to bother to do that here.

I was going to scold Seth myself before I saw your post, but then I realized that I'd be channeling my mother telling me to clean my room when I was ten years old. ;)
It's not like the guy is responsible for shooting down the Hindenburg.

That totally-out-of-left-field historical reference deserves some sort of recognition:

Seth seems to be successfully navigating basic quotation-management skills today, so let's chalk up USee's chiding as a successful pedagogical endeavor for ad hoc adult education. ;)

basic, archaic, toh-may-toh, toh-mah-toh... maybe I'll hit up the library and see if I can find "MS-DOS for Dummies"... hopefully they don't make me use a card-catalog!
#plithyresponsemadeingoodfun #notreallyoffended #Illworkonit #whatdoIhavetoplaceinbracketstomakemyhashtagswork?

What's MS-DOS? And what's wrong with using a card-catalog?

I actually still have a Rolodex on my credenza I use. :o My son saw it recently and simply shook his head in total disbelief. ::)

The bigger question is this:  Do you still use a rotary phone, or have you "graduated" to the touchtone?

Rotary as in turn the crank a few times to get to the operator (maybe only oldknight knows what this is), or rotary like a dial that has numbers on it   :P

I've always pictured oldknight as climbing up to the top of the telephone pole to take and make calls, like his fellow attorney Oliver Wendell Douglas in Green Acres:

That's funny! I thought the same thing... Internally I said, "I know what a Rolodex is... but what is a credenza?" My first thought was a plant, but that doesn't make very much sense contextually....

Well, he didn't exactly graduate from North Park -- well, he did, but he wasn't really there. I mean, uh, his diploma was there, but he wasn't there to get it. Y'see, he had just started his first government job. It was at, uh, the government building. I remember that it was one of the first places where the government was using computers. They had a computer with a stack of cards, and each card had a taxpayer's name on it. In your case it would be, uh -- well, whatever your name is. Each card had holes punched in it. This was done at the State Department of Hole Punching. Three men worked there -- the Head Hole Puncher, the Assistant Head Hole Puncher, and his brother-in-law.

I don't think it was a good idea for coach to let out the secret strategy through the media.  Now opposing teams will know that Hope wants to beat them and not just be happy to play the game.  I can imagine many adjustments being made all throughout D3 as this information spreads.

Considering things like primary selection criteria apparently haven't spread throughout D3, I wouldn't worry about some quotes on a local website turning any tides of advantage.
