BOOOOOOO!

Three Hope players turned down wide open shots on their last (potentially game-winning) possession at the end of regulation. 24 turnovers for the game. I can't remember the last time I saw Hope execute so poorly. What's going on?

That's as solid as Hope's overtime performance.

The AMCC is more or less a joke here in the GL Region, but Behrend looked like they were for real. The Lions impressed me on the video, they deserve a lot of credit.

Harsh indeed considering Hope was the team that went further into the post-season than Calvin did from '06 to '12.

Anyways, has anyone else been watching some of the Wash U game?  They are going to be real tough to beat.  Good all-around team.  Much quicker than Wittenberg was.  Quite bigger than them too.  Has shot lights out so far.

I think it was John McKay who when asked about his team's execution replied " I'm all for it"

I wasn't a fan of the decision to take the timeout with so much time (I think it was about 19 seconds left on the clock).  Why not run it down to 10-12 seconds so you can inbound the ball and go right into whatever you drew up to get a good shot? I understand leaving some time for the chance to get an offensive rebound and put-back but Hope ended up running clock after the timeout anyway. The whole final possession of regulation was poorly conceived and poorly executed and I didn't understand any of it.

Wash U looks good, but I take some consolation in the fact that I don't think Willmington is playing well and I recall that the Knights knocked off Wash U at the old field house when Wash U was ranked close to, if not, #1 in the nation. And, as I recall, Wash U ended up winning the national championship that same year, and Calvin was one of their few losses. My memory stinks, but at least part of that is correct. I know Calvin beat Wash U because I was at the game.

It appears "neilrocks" either got banned or the account was deleted...

Yeah that was the 2007-2008 season you are referring to.  About one of the few good things that went right for Calvin that season.  I believe Wash U went onto beat Hope in the Final Four that season.

Wash U up 27  right now.  Wash U's guards are really impressive.  Seem to not doing anything wrong tonight.

And that was before Wash U lost starting guard Sean Wallis to a season ending injury.
