Wow, I didn't know that's where Pack ended up.

Some pretty good commentary on just how well this West Michigan Centric message board pays attention to the other schools. :-[

Kind of a big deal for Adrian and generally a pretty cool thing, dated July 23.

The rest of the schedule, not much change in difficulty:

Every time I see Alma's webpage, I see "Goal Mascots" instead of "Go Alma Scots".  Feels like the tame version of Sean Connery in the old SNL skits.

I got to play football there several times in HS.

Congrats Calvin  you made the news in Lansing.
The Princeton Review must not have been taken to any of the off campus parties in Eastown.

I am presently in good standing with the bar--the one in Lansing http://www.michbar.org/ not any of those located in the Eastown neighborhood. Many moons ago I lived in Eastown along with countless Calvin students. If placed under oath I would have to admit to attending an off-campus party or two (maybe even three :-X), but quite honestly those events were pretty tame affairs. I certainly experienced little that would jeopardize Calvin's current no. 4 ranking. Speaking in my own defense (for what that's worth), youngknight's activities were not so nefarious as to jeopardize licensure.

John Beilein has one scholarship left to give out and it may be going to a DIII transfer: http://www.freep.com/article/20140729/SPORTS06/307290100/michigan-basketball-duncan-robinson

The connection between coaches is interesting.  Former Williams coach, now Marsit coach Mike Maker was a Beilein assistant at West Virginia and John's son was also a candidate for the Marist job.
Duncan Robinson is headed to Michigan.

As someone with a slightly more liberal perspective from some of my fellow RCA/CRC colleagues, perhaps I should have prefaced my remark by stating that I find being on this list to be negative, but also, undeserved. I agree, wholeheartedly, that the previously mentioned parties in Eastown are notoriously lame tame. Still, a large enough portion of the student population attends these events (and those similar to them) on a regular basis, that I cannot take this ranking seriously. I simply find it difficult to understand how Bob Jones, Liberty, Southern Virginia, Cedarville, Dordt, Cornerstone, Taylor... were all left off this list but that Calvin made it on.

Because having the same schools in the same place on the same list every year results in fewer overall mentions for the Princeton Review.

Calvin was 10th in 2012, so you've improved, or regressed.

Quoting from the article: "About 130,000 students on 379 campuses were surveyed for the book, which contains 62 top-20 lists ranking factors like financial aid awards, athletic facilities and food."
Perhaps none of the schools you listed above were surveyed or maybe they choose not to respond.

Exactly. There are approximately 2,500 four-year colleges and universities in the United States. Thus, the Princeton Review uses a ridiculously small sampling to determine those lists.

Princeton is still mad about Tom Cruise dissing them for Illinois.
