And 29 pts, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists doesn't even begin to tell the whole story. The game was tied 48-48 and Hope was building momentum when Mr. Brink came back into the game. Jordan then scored 12 of Calvin's next 15 points and suddenly the game was 63-50.

Score while Brink was on the floor: Calvin 65 Hope 36 (28 minutes)
Score while Brink was on the bench: Calvin 23 Hope 26 (12 minutes)

Wed.
Adrian @ Calvin
Albion @ Hope
Olivet @ Alma
Trine @ Kzoo

edit, thanks to Kzoo99 for pointing out the location of T/K

And, I think, Calvin is at Adrian, not at home.

also correct.  I pulled all the sites from the MIAA's master schedule which is apparently incorrect.

...and has now been changed to reflect the correct locations for this week.

The Rivalry makes the Grey Lady a/k/a New York Times.

I like that is is filed under "Not the Knicks".
I'm told the Times is sending a reporter around the country to report on "good basketball" under the rubric "Not the Knicks."

They got a minor fact wrong in that article. They reference the game where GVW makes contact with an Andy Draayer 3 point attempt as being in 2005, but I am positive that was in 2006.

I flagged it as inflammatory. Feel free to do the same. #tolerance

"Accidentally" may be a bit of a stretch also.

Haha. I was one who recommended it.  #tolerance
There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

This:

"But for all the team's success, Davelaar remembers a game in 2005 against Calvin when fans, flush against the court, forced Van Wieren to roam from the bench — and accidentally make contact with a Calvin player who was shooting a jumper. Van Wieren was called for a technical foul."

is the best use of the passive voice since Teddy Kennedy reluctantly acknowledged the "car I was driving went off a narrow bridge," or at least since John Sununu abused his travel privileges.

It was the MIAA Championship game for the 2005-06 season.

It was the rare 5 point play, but Calvin never was really in that game.

One week later, with Calvin down by 2 with about 15 seconds left in a 2nd Round NCAA Tournament game, Caleb Veldhouse was whistled for an offensive foul when a strong gust of wind blew Greg Immink over.

To be fair, I can think of a way a strong gust of wind would be offensive.

Greg also hustled his ass off.  All Caleb had to do was pass the ball.

Greg did the same thing as a Soph against kzoo.  Same result.
