Rodney Clark "Hot Rod" Hundley, West Virginia University Mountaineer, two-time first team All-American, innovative player (known to hang on the rim waiting for a lob pass from a teammate) 8-), first pick of the 1957 NBA Draft, later becoming a play-by-play Hall of Fame announcer, dead at age 80. He was no. 33 in your program but no. 1 in your heart. Ya gotta be old to remember him.

Adam Dykema:  11.8 shots per game
A recent MIAA MVP who baffled supporters by not taking more:  11.9 shots per game.

Once again, counting stats don't tell the whole story. On a per minute basis, Dykema shot 22% more often than Brink. As for the quality/efficiency of those shots, Brink shot over 50% from the floor and 43% on 3-pointers, while Dykema was 35% from the floor and 33% on 3's. I think it's pretty reasonable to believe that Brink could have helped his team further by shooting more often and that Dykema probably shot the ball a little too often. Dykema's brother has a reputation as one who is not afraid of taking the outside shot either, so I think Ziggy's comment/joke was appropriate, and funny too.

Once again?  On a per minute basis he also lost more.

also.....

but thanks for the research

I only remember him as a color announcer working with Dick Enberg on college games.  That was back when the regular season counted in college basketball.

Some people attempt to promote death with dignity. Lauren Hill chose to promote life with dignity. RIP Lauren.

I think Calvin College Cross Country Coach, Brian Diemer, would have loved having these 2 young ladies on the team.

They have their mother's legs, and their father's competitiveness. Which makes them A-OK!

He missed a golden opportunity to lay claim to Cramerica, Inc. for the name of his basketball school.

Considering he is a graduate of USA high school - that would have been fitting

So the rivalry has switched from the beginning of the league rotation (like the last couple years) to the end.  I guess my preference would be in the middle somewhere, although with it at the end it does have the potential to be a "playing for the championship" kind of game.  Bad thing is the potential to then play each other the very next week again.

I have something else that says he attended Salem International this past year, but he's not on their roster.  Interest from D2's last spring.

Carlos Amoros, Wyoming HS  to Calvin    http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2277096/highlights/253448389/v2

Dylan Bennett, Brighton HS to Albion     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnoH0B7gH6k&feature=youtu.be

Based on their highlights, they both look to be very competitive  players in the MIAA.  Both seemed to have excellent overall offensive skills, both shooting and passing.  Carlos Amoros showed quickness that would really help Calvin.
