Alma Roster:

That has to be the most upper classmen the Scots have had in years, maybe a decade or more.

Another day, another roster - this time from Trine:

http://www.trinethunder.com/sports/mbkb/2015-16/roster

Looks like Adam Ciszewski is going to be someone who can help them a lot.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP4D22XwoVY

Trine also now has 7 players 6-5 or taller in their program, six of them Fr. or So.

Big quesiton with Trine is how many players get any real time on the floor. Was last seasons short bench due to a coaching "philosopy" or the players available?

One Freshman, Carlos Amoros.

All other eligibles return with exception of CVB.

Only ten players listed at this point....maybe more to come?

It may still be taking shape as it is still only available by url manipulation rather than the main "roster" link on the men's basketball page and there is no JV roster up yet.

Also, if Carlos Amoros really is going to wear number 3, who was the last Knight to wear that number? The stat archives on the Calvin athletics site doesn't go back far enough (2001-2002).

Still no JV roster update but Calvin's main roster page has been filled in beyond the ten names that appeared earlier. A combination of guys who were on the JV squad last season, names mentioned on this board as recruits and Nate Meppelink, who started his college basketball career at Biola University.

Mickey Phelps?

Goodknight is even older than me so he might remember. Realist probably too.

JV roster is now up. 10 players listed. Two interesting facts appear from the two rosters:

1) No Andrew Holesinger (Northpointe Christian) who had been recruited. WOTS has it that like CVB, he opted out of hoops in favor of being a regular college student.

2) Matt Powell, a 6'5" frosh listed on the JV squad, is from Laingsburg HS where he presumably played for Hope head coach, Greg Mitchell.

I think Matt Powell played for Laingsburg Christian.  I do not believe they are part of the MHSAA and play in the "home school" tournament.

17 guys on the Calvin varisty roster - seems "out of character" for KVS - my recollection is a 14 -15 man roster most years.  Thoughts?

I can't remember ever seeing this many, but my memory only goes back a decade or so.

I'm guessing KVS has about 12 guys he's comfortable with on Varsity and isn't really sure what he has in 13-17 yet. I'll bet a couple end up playing mostly JV by the time December comes around.

I think only Parks, Daley, and Welch have started games for Calvin.
