Calvin's 2016-17 schedule is out.

When was the last time Calvin played Wittenberg?

Also Millikin is one of the other teams at the Wittenberg tournament.     http://athletics.millikin.edu/schedule.aspx?path=mbball   Good guess the 4th is an HCAC, PAC or OAC school.

How about regular season?

It was postseason as well, but the last time they had played was 1995. Before that looks like maybe 1990.

Makes it sound like a regular season match-up has never happened.

Sadly, they are the Bulldogs.   Happy Bulldogs though as they are the current Indiana 2A basketball state champions.

Hoosiers are good people, but they have no sense of whimsy.

As the inestimable, antique hunting Mrs. OldKnight might say if she trolled this board, "au contraire mon ami." Hoosiers not only have whimsy, they have Vintage Whimsy.

What video I've seen on Kamron he is very similar player both physique wise and playing style to current Thunder player Kyle Dodson, who was one of the better freshman players in the MIAA last year.  If he turns out to be anything like Kyle then he'll be a keeper.  Just wish our freshman class had some more size to it.  We need some bigs, maybe there are some guys committed that SAC doesn't know about?  :-\

Lapel used to be a quiet hamlet located inbetween Indy and Anderson just off I69, and had a very small high school, playing in class 1A.  But with the urban sprawl of Indy heading northeastward Lapel's school district has seen a steady increase in enrollment and is now up to class 2A.

Well played, counselor, well played.

There is one prepster who plans on attending Calvin next year who seems to have escaped our notice, or at least mine. Sam Schellenberg, a 6'3" wing from Forest Hills Northern, is slated to play in the June 15 high school All-Star game at Cornerstone University (Champions of Character game) and the roster says his college plans will bring Sam to the Knollcrest campus. I've never seen him play but he was a double digit scorer on a 13-9 FHN squad and good enough to get an invite to play in the annual summer event featuring the best of West Michigan high school hoopsters. Other players in that game destined for the MIAA include Derrick DeVries and Tony DeWitt (Calvin); Jared Blum, Ben Ritsema and John Wehrmeyer (Hope); Ryan Stevens and Steve Harvey (Alma); and Ojani Echevarria (Albion). Schellenberg also a pretty good baseball player so maybe he will pick just one sport in college. But being a National Merit Semifinalist Sam shouldn't need an academic babysitter.
