I see that K college has posted their roster already.  The Dickerson kid is back along with some other returnees, they have 2 bigs back also.  I see them improving.

They were 3-22 last year with a #333 Massey Ranking -- it would be hard to get a whole lot worse!

Unfortunately for Calvin fans and I am one, they spanked us pretty good in kazoo last year.

I wonder how much their recruiting got affected by what happened last year?

Adrian snagged a game at Akron Univ. on Nov. 30

Not sure if we knew this yet (I don't think I did but I'm getting old now), but Calvin will be matched up with Millikin on the first night of the Wittenberg tournament on Dec. 29. Geneva will be the fourth team in that Holiday Classic.

Wittenberg looks like they are returning a lot of key players plus they have decent size.

New design rendering of the MTI Center, home for Trine University MBB and WBB, construction to start in 2017 with planned opening in time for 2018/19 season.  The facility is to be constructed on the far west part of campus, right across the parking lot from Hershey Hall where the current Witmer Clubhouse now sits on the eastern edge of Zollner golf course.

More drawings: http://www.trinethunder.com/facilities/athletic-evets-center

These are current drawings as the first set of plans had the arena being built on the north side of campus where construction has started on the Hockey arena.  Looks like the golf course clubhouse will be in the lower level of the arena as the current clubhouse will be torn down to make way for the new building.  Esports is also gaining momentum on college campuses across the country and Trine is diving right in.

The only time I was at the old arena it looked like a tough place to shoot at.  Congrats on the new arena.

Quick question - is there an official date when D3 colleges (MIAA) can have tryouts and then officially post the teams? HS teams have many date restrictions for conditioning and tryouts.

Has anyone heard any more on Beckman at Hope - he was injured but not sure yet if he is playing hoops at Hope this year?

Any other buzz on the Hope players - who might make the varsity squad & others with high potential that may be on the JV for a year? Is Riley Lewis good enough to play varsity or is he too thin & small? Heard he was getting roughed up against the college guys.

Thanks - HK

Pat Coleman

Practice can't start before Oct. 15 -- some conferences restrict further than that and some schools may choose to start later because generally you have to take a week off of competition at some point in the winter season so as not to exceed the maximum number of permissible weeks.
