There are a few different ways to calculate efficiency, the formula I have used for awhile is probably the simplest and prone to some problems in high FT games, but it kicked out this for last nights Hope-Hanover game.

Hope    1.08  Points per possession
Hanvoer  1.07  Points per possession

Being on the losing end of a game you were technically more efficient is about as odd as it gets.

There really isn't much I can do when the trolls are supported and encouraged by management.  Sorry guys.

What I would love to hear is.....the "GUYS" who supposedly know so much about D3 basketball would refer to the conference as...

The M. I. Double A

Shows their lack of knowledge and preparation when they consistently say in an interview with a conference coach as the M.I.A.A.

Dave, seeing you would love to see that Hope fans face, try practicing M.I double A

Sweet 16 level officials have to get that right, its atrocious as a basketball fan.

at 1:40:22 is the sequence with the great block by Muchmore on Cody Stuive's drive from the right wing.  I don't see what's being called a foul here as the ref is directing Hanover's coach back into his box and the replay screen cuts in before the ref makes the signal to the scoring table.

at 46:42  of the first half,  Coach Mitchell was pretty upset at this call and from way across DeVos I could read his lips about Harrison being the primary defender and the half circle shouldn't matter.  I think he's probably right but I don't know this one well enough.  Harrison is definitely not a secondary defender.

EDIT   It appears the video link goes dark at 4am, these were the 3 calls that really stood out to me

The same official was involved in both of these calls.  He was also the official who stopped the game to have the Dew Crew member cover up his referee striped shirt.  He was weak all night.

According to folks at the scorer's table...it was not necessarily the shirt itself, it was that the Dew Crew member walked up and down the sideline with the shirt on versus standing in the crowd.

I agree with your assessment of weak.......I thought he has L.M.S.

The walking up and down the court was confusing to the scorer's table. Honestly, I don't know many refs who would allow a spectator to walk up and down the court regardless of what they're wearing.

Video is still live. The block call on Blackledge was flat-out wrong. The circle does not apply to him as he was clearly the primary defender and had established legal guarding position. That's just very poor officiating to make that call and point to the circle like that.

The restricted arc only ever applies to secondary defenders playing help defense.

I'm older than dirt and all my life I've heard the conference name pronounced both ways. I think it's a matter of personal preference, not an indicator of any lack of knowledge or preparation.

If I'm remembering it correctly, that official made that nearly identical call on the same move in both halves, each time motioning that the defender was in the circle. How the heck do you have an official at a sweet sixteen game who does not understand the basic rules of post defending. Certainly whoever is in charge of assigning the officials to these games can do better. As poor as I think some of the worst officials in the MIAA are, they certainly would have been better than what I witnessed last night. It's just disappointing for games with that importance to have both teams suffer through such horrid officiating

Ok, maybe dirt has something to do with it.  I may or may not be older than dirt, however, I have been attending games since 1982...

I have never at Calvin, at Hope, at KZoo, at Albion (can't say for the other places) heard welcome to this M.I.A.A game, always M.I Double A game

I have never heard Ed Douma, KVS, GVW, MN, GM, Joe Hacklin, Mike Turner or Jody May say, we are so proud to win the M.I.A.A. conference title or conference tournament, always M.I. Double A.

So in 2017/2018 lets go with M.I.A.A.  because Dave and the Dirt said so
