Dutch Calvinist Reformer

Interesting that Calvin's announcement comes less than two weeks after sister-school Dordt announces the same thing.  What is unique is that #DefenderNation was very transparent in their process/logic, while it seems (at least from this board) that the alumni of that great institution in the Dutch Jerusalem are stuck in the the trees looking for the forest.    ;D :o ???

In other news...

Kalamazoo Commit

Drake Thompson

6'8"   275lb

Blackhawk Christian High School, Fort Wayne Indiana

Will major in Pre-Law.

Played on regular season #1 team in Class 1A (small school) in the State of Indiana for 17-18.

Missed majority of Junior season to injury and was not at full strength until midway thru Senior year.

Is a "plodder" but has good basketball skills and IQ.  Once he hits Kzoo's strength and conditioning program he'll improve his game.

Also back to basketball...just heard today that despite some recent positive news on the recruiting front, there is also some attrition coming to the Knights next season. The Morrison brothers (senior and soph to be) Tom and Luke will both be leaving Calvin at the end of the school year.

What? a degree from a prestigious university couldn't entice them to stay?  :o

That's not great news from a basketball standpoint, but I hope they both find an institution that will be a fit to fulfill their academic and athletic goals.

Thanks, Dutchfan.  Looks like Alma, Trine, and Hope will have no trouble filling jv teams (though some of those 2018-2019 jv players may not today appreciate that jv experience is their preparation for later varsity).

Didn't Tom Morrison originally commit to Hope?

I've heard they are bound for DePauw in their home state of Hoosierville.
