North Park got stuck playing Ohio Mid-Western in the Bluffton tourney one year. I'm not sure how that school keeps getting invited back for that tourney. The Ohio Mid-Western head coach must have incriminating photos of the Bluffton prez or AD, or something.

Yep, and another member of the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference was the renowned World Harvest Bible College (now Valor Christian College) which fellow CCIW member North Central had a couple of tournament experiences with. 🏀 😟

Good luck to all the MIAA programs starting practice today.

Glad to see that Jimmy Paprocki graduated from Kzoo.  ;D  He just dominated Trine every time I watched him play.

No Preston Laketa for Alma is a shame. Kid could play. Was hoping he would've found his way back onto that roster this season.

I can't decide if Calvin is stacked at guard or if they'll struggle to find viable guard play.  :-\

Anyone know anything about Brandon Harrison from Hartland?  I don't recall him being mentioned before in the lists of recruits and yet he made the varsity as a freshman.  I was also wondering about the Wolterink from Chicago on the JV team.  Isn't he the same person that was on the JV team the year before last?  Was he injured or out of school, or this a brother?

Here's an video of his AAU highlights. Some of it reminded me of Michael Wilks on a bigger frame. At 6-6 he appears to be more of a perimeter player than someone who'll bang inside. Standard highlight video caveats apply.

I'm impressed!  Although GK has a valid point about videos, and I've been fooled in the past, I notice the release, the touch, and especially the ability to score from the inside as well as from outside.  On the inside he demonstrated excellent control while releasing with either hand, and that ability to use either hand is a great help.  Hard to tell about his defense from the video, other than the ability to block shots if he's in the right position.  He seems to be a decent rebounder.  Did he win any state honors?

Comet Chaos is tonight at Cutler! This is the Olivet version of MSU's midnight madness. It ends with a scrimmage, so it should be a good chance to see a certain former D1 recruit on the court.
