12 posts ... I'm sure you know something, but interesting for a newbie. I do know the finalists as well. Not sure I agree completely on head scratcher/jaw dropping ... but so I don't reveal anything, I won't say more.

HOPEful

Gene Hackman... he got Jimmy Chitwood to come back, maybe he can convince Trevor Manuel too.
Let's go Dutchmen!

I don't know if the Olivet job is an attractive one or not. Not sure what kind of candidates it would draw. With no knowledge of the situation, a name that I'd wonder if he had thrown his hat in the ring is Terry Smith. Would be an interesting return to the MIAA. He's been without a coaching gig as far as I'm aware for the past year since resigning from Elkhart H.S.

The profile of the types of kids he brought in (and couldn't keep) while he was at Alma would suggest that he might actually have success at a place like Olivet.

That would be quite the full circle going Alma - MSU - Finlandia - Elkhart H.S. - Olivet

Nevertheless, I'll be interested to see what names do start to surface - for both jobs really.

Either you are trying to get people headed down a certain path ... your info isn't accurate.

(To be clear, due to a message I have already received, I am reacting to the Terry Smith comment.)

I don’t have any basis on my Terry Smith post. Just a thought that popped into my head as I was making the 8 hour trek to his old stomping grounds (Hancock area) to go ski Mt. Bohemia :)

Never really considered it to be much of a possibility. Just thought on paper it would be an intriguing fit.

I personally like how you think. :) Just isn't what I am hearing.
