Adrian roster is up with a single Fr on the team (5-11 Ben Pacer from Maumee OH).  Also includes 6-4 Jr transfer Connor Pelham (Spring Arbor):

A couple notable guys not on the Adrian roster, starting PG Tre'Shon Heard and G Sam Colbert.
A small personal observation I might make is in the few games I did see Adrian the last couple years Heard and Colbert seemed the most at odds with coach Lindsay.  Colbert had a wonderful moment in the Hope game last year.  Lindsay was upset at Colbert for something called timeout, after breaking the huddle Colbert repeats several times while thumping his chest "I got this coach, I got this" and immediately threw up a loooong 3pt airball.

Robert Warrick is on his 3rd school, originally at Goshen, brief stay at Trine, maybe a year off now Adrian.
Kendall Bellamy is a transfer from D2 Georgian Court University but was not on last years GCU roster
Tyler Gillery transfer from Henry Ford CC  -didn't play much
Caleb Swick transfer from Trine
Trey Hellinski transfer from Trine

Adrian was neck and neck with Hope for least productive bench in the league for most of last year.   Losing 2 returning starters is probably not ideal.

I'm dying to read TUAngola's thoughts on Adrian's new imports.

Fyi, Connor played  at Spring Arbor in 2018, last year he played for Jackson College averaging 18 pts per game.  I might slide Pelham into Adrian's starting 5

For what it's worth, Ferris State head coach Andy Bronkema had some comments after the game in the video linked below. He seems to be very down on his team's performance and attitude, and he praised Calvin's preparedness.

No inside information here.  Not surprising that some of Trine's former players would find their way to Adrian as Kyle Lindsay used to be the lead assistant coach on head coach Brooks Miller's staff for several years before getting the Adrian job.  Miller and Lindsay I'm sure are still pretty close and maybe Miller helped some of his former players find another D3 school to play.  Helinski was on last years team, but didn't play much at all, undersized guy, but was a good shooter.  He is an Adrian MI kid so it's coming back home for him.  Swick was on the team 2 years ago, primarily a JV guy.  It's possible he didn't play basketball anywhere last year as Adrian has him listed as a sophomore.  Don't remember anything about Warrick, I think he was on the team only for a semester 2 years ago.

When I posted last week that Trine's roster was up I forgot to put a link for those who wanted to view, so here you go:

https://trinethunder.com/sports/mbkb/2019-20/roster

Besides the new guys I mentioned last week the player I'm most curious to see play this year is Jake Daniels.  He transferred to Trine last year after playing 2 years at Saginaw Valley State, but sat out all year with a leg injury.  So you could classify him as a "new guy" too.  ;D

And we have a Hope roster (well kind of).  This appears to be a combined varsity and JV Roster.  I would assume the first 14 guys are the varsity (Clayton Dykhouse - Preston Granger) and the rest are JV.  Looks like every recruit we knew about is on this list (except TJ McKenzie who is currently playing football - may have to wait until FB is over to know where he lands).

If my assumption is true - 14 guys on varsity (room to add TJ after football maybe?).  11 returning guys from last year (Bill Woodhams who was on both varsity and JV last year is the only non-returning player) plus:

- Jeff Bikus - 6-5 So, Hawthorn Woods IL - played JV last year and practiced/traveled with the varsity near the end of the year
- Clayton Dykhouse - 5-11 Fr, Zeeland MI
- Evan Thomas - 6-4 Fr, Okemos MI

https://athletics.hope.edu/sports/mbkb/2019-20/roster

The last 10 guys listed (presumably JV) are from all over the US - 3 from MI, 2 from FL, 2 from IL, 1 each from KY, NY, CA
2016, 2020, 2022 MIAA Pick 'Em Champion

I would agree with your assessment. Appears that the varsity to JV line is after Preston.

Interesting that they didn't just put them on their alphabetically or by year if they were putting them all on one page.

I'm really hoping Clayton and Evan are solid contributors right away. Freshmen rarely are, but this team has holes and both have the skill set to fill them, if the leap from HS to D3 isn't too rough on them.

Hope sorting out its 10 guard rotation will be interesting.

I do think Dykhouse and Thomas will see good chunks of minutes.  Dykhouse might end up being the starting PG at some point if not right away (pure speculation on my part).  Thomas will see the floor a lot if his high school defense translates to the college level, for sure in the mix at the 3 spot.

I don't know the answer but I have noticed that every few weeks we go back a few page numbers on the MIAA thread. We are currently at XX65 and have been there since last season except when we go back to XX64

That would suggest that someone is deleting posts on the MIAA board. I hope that's not the case.
